They'd clearly grown close over time, like sisters who truly cared about one another.
Jiang Chen smiled quietly as he watched them. It was nice—seeing them get along so well. He figured the Eternal Vows Binding Ring probably helped bring them together that quickly.
Ning Xian looked him up and down, eyes wide. "You've gotten so powerful, Jiang Chen. It's kind of amazing."
Ji Ruxue let out a soft sigh. "I always mentioned I'd fight beside you… but you're already way ahead."
"I know what she means," said Xie Xiaojing, frowning just a little. Her usual bright expression dimmed. "I used to think I was a genius, you know? But now—next to you—I feel kind of small. You're growing so fast… will we still matter to you later on?"
