Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

I left that area of the river after obtaining what I was looking for and went to join Pascal and Trina, or as I dubbed them, the lost delinquent couple.

At the moment, they were naked and kissing each other in the river.

I smiled seeing the happiness on their faces since even with some of those injuries, they could still kiss without being bothered by pain or other pointless things.

I made my presence known by shouting at them, "Let's go! we are going back to the exodus ship!"

Pascal intervened, "At least have the decency to respect our privacy man."

However, I did not care and paid little attention to his words before bluntly knocking him off his pedestal.

I simply answered, "Privacy? Oh, you mean that thing that made it so that you got lost and that almost got you killed right after, sure I'll give it to you later."

He shut his mouth, for real this time and we left the border of the river to go back to the point of origin: The dropship.

I lifted the two once more and installed them upon my shoulders.

I couldn't let them walk when they were still injured, right?

When we arrived, I announced, "Home sweet home, right?"

"Yeah, "x2

"Hey, Preston's back!" I heard.

I saw Bellamy rushing towards me, "Preston, where were you?" he asked.

"I was wandering through the forest, trying to learn about this place a little more," I told him.

"But you're the leader, you can't just leave camp. Besides, why do you have two people on your shoulders."

"They're Pascal and Trina," I told him

"You didn't answer my question," he pressed.

"I don't need to answer your questions though, am I right?" I continued.

"Besides, I managed to find and save them before they could die, and they really need medical attention right now. So uhm... can you call a certain blonde-haired doctor? Tell her to go on the second level of the dropship, please," I ordered him.

Bellamy sighed.

As he left to call Clarke, who at that moment, should be eating along with Finn and a few others, I brought Pascal up through the hatch before doing the same to Trina afterwards.

Clarke quickly came.

After seeing the injuries the couple had suffered, she was shocked.

"What did you do to be like this," she asked.

"It's a long story," Trina answered chuckling.

"Hey Clarke," I butted in. "I found some stuff that might be useful to you. And before you ask me what this or that is, I'm telling you, I have no idea, I'm not a herbologist. All I know is that they're weird-looking plants that might have medicinal properties, anyway I'll leave you to do what you do best, bye."

Descending from the second level, I met Murphy.

I thought it would be a good idea to greet him.

"Hello Murphy, how are you,"

"I'm very okay, especially after you knocked me out. Look, I even got a blue to show for it," he replied sarcastically.

"Okay, l get it. You're not doing well," I observed.

"But look, let's forget about all the fighting and arguing. Just come with me, and I'll cheer you up."

"How are you gonna do that, 'cause I don't swing that way," he snickered.

"Me neither, I got something much better than sex to cheer you up," I told him.

"Like what?" he tried asking

"Come with me and you'll see," I baited his curiosity.

"We're leaving? It's nighttime," the guy was hesitating.

"So what? Are you scared?" I challenged.

"No, I'm smart. There are grounders out there in case Jasper's injuries weren't a good enough indication for you," he stated, wanting to go back to camp.

"That's a clever answer. But if you're so smart, shut up so the grounders won't hear you," I retorted.

After that small squabble, we remained silent for the remainder of the walk.

We finally arrived at the designated area and stopped.

"So this is what's supposed to cheer me up huh," he mocked.

"No, what is inside will though," I told him

"Just be a little patient. Now, to tell you why I brought you here."

"When my group and I were hunting, I stumbled upon a hatch for a bunker, most likely a big one."

"And if my assumptions are correct, then what is inside that place could help us all a lot."

"The only thing I remember about the exact location, though, is that the door was next to the small lake and under some grass or straw."

"So basically, you don't remember where it is," Murphy summed up.

"No, but I mean, what I got is better than nothing right." I let out.

"I guess it's going to have to do," he said.

"Great! then look around the lake, in particularly thick patches of grass and call me if you find anything," I advised.

It took a decent amount of time, probably around an hour or so.

But we- I mean Murphy found it.

*clang*

"So you found it, huh," I stated.

"Yeah," Murphy had a small smile on his face.

He had finally gained a little faith in what I told him.
