Day 2 Near Dawn
As the cavern of survivors walks on Stony paths to Redridge, Cynthia suddenly comes to a halt, for she feels a child squirming about on her back. confused as to why the child was acting up, she decided to stop for a few minutes to check on the child. But as she calmed the child down, the sky above her head turned dry, for no rain could be felt, nor could the pitch darkness that surrounded them be seen, for the sky turned a frightening green! The very air burned with the smell of sulfur, as the sound of a giant meteor object came flying down from above! Without giving survivors time to react, the meteor crashed down on top of them! Killing all but Cynthia, however, the power of the crash was so mighty that it threw her into the air along with the children, separating them in the process.
As time slowed, Cynthia had to make a choice! For she could only save one of the kids! But who to choose? The boy with golden eyes who gave her much comfort? Whose eyes date back to the time from Illidan to Queen Azahra herself! Or take a chance on a new child with silver eyes! A child she felt might have a strong connection to the very goddess she would gladly die for?
However, the choice was stolen from her brain, for her body moved out of instinct for the boy! Without questioning it she embraced him tightly, afraid he might get hurt. She failed to comprehend why her body chose the boy over the girl; however, now wasn't the time to even think of such a thing, for when her brain caught up to what had just happened, she panicked! But that panic turned to fear for what she saw next. For when she turned to look where the girl must've fallen, she heard no noise, neither cry nor thump, but an evil laugh instead!
[HA...HA… I must thank you! Little rabbit! For you have made my job so much easier, though I would have preferred to have pulled her from your arms myself.] said Xavalis with much mockery as he held the child in his arms.
[Give her back!] yelled Cynthia desperately
[O! Foolish rabbit! If you wanted to keep your carrot, then you should have held onto it better!] reply Xavalis
[Dam you, monster! What do you want with them anyway? These insignificant children are just a product of a Gnoll we happen to like, so why are you trying so hard to take them]. Yelled Cynthia in rage while trying to conceal the truth.
[HA! Don't try to play dumb with me, girl! I know very well just how much these children mean! In fact, probably more than you! Anyway, I have a friend here who is just 'dying to meet you' Haha]
As Xavalis stepped aside, Cynthia's gem-like eyes almost refined themself for what she was seeing, for it pissed her off as much as losing the girl.
[So... You couldn't even let him die in peace, could you? You really are a monster, you know that!] Cynthia said while staring straight at the abomination that was once a beautiful wolf that came to her rescue not too long ago.
[Ha! You just figured that out now? Of course, I'm a monster! I have to be if I want to claim my birthright! And besides, you also seem to be misunderstanding something here… rabbit! I only came here for the girl!] said Xavalis
Cynthia quickly realized what Xavalis meant, she squeezed the child in her arms tightly, before looking down on him with teary but determined eyes...
[Looks like you caught on quick, rabbit!] Xavalis said while snapping at his fingers, thus signaling the old wolf to move closer.
As the old wolf slowly approached her, Cynthia decided to stand her ground when she noticed other demon hounds of all kinds began to surround her on all sides but her back, for the infernal that came out of the sky sought to prevent her escape!
Comprehending the situation, Cynthia didn't know what to do! Should she run? Should she vanish? But would that even work with all these hounds? Should she try to fight her way out? With nothing but a dagger and one potion! Impossible! OH, how her mind raced with every possible thing she could think of, but no matter what plan she came up with it was all for not, for she was too weak to do anything!
Steeling herself for what was to come, she bravely pointed her dagger forward at the old wolf, ready to die, like any proper Night Elf warrior would. But just as all the demons pounced at her, time froze with a baby snarl!
Pov Boy
{Oh! Great, now what? First, a giant green ass rock falls from the sky, almost killing me, then, as if that wasn't bad enough, my caretaker couldn't even hold onto me properly, so I got flung into the air like a hotkey puck! And now this satyr freak with daddy issues sends a "cool" yet terrifying wolf after us! Like, come on, bro, you got my sister, you freak, leave me alone! I swear to the light that if I survive all this BS, you're putting me through, I will find you and your brothers and wipe your family from the face of Azeroth! I swear, swear…swear...!!!!]
The boy's enraged thoughts rage on, as his golden eyes shrank in response to his uncontrolled emotion, as a warmth glow came from the very depth of his belly, a warmth that consumed him! Then, as he felt his mind slipping into the warmth that threatened to swallow him whole, a burst of unknown clarity interjected into his mind!
What is this feeling? NO… Better yet, where I'm I?} Confused, the boy's mind wandered in the dark that was scattered with little lights... {Are those light little stars? Am I in space? Wait a minute… the more I look around, the more this place looks familiar… Yes! I think I know something about this place… Yes, I read about it in one of the Warcraft novels…but which one? Think, think}
But no matter how much he thought, he couldn't place this seemingly familiar place in his mind. And as he tried to recall, he failed to notice that the biggest "star" floating in the void began to shine… And shine... Until it was so stunning that he had to notice it, but when he did, it was too late! The starburst into a wave of holy white light that filled the dark and pushed him out!
When he awoke, all that remained around him was ash!
