"What's wrong?"
Elder Nan was so startled he dropped his fishing rod, quickly patting Nan Jiaojiao on the back, seeing that she was still clutching half a small persimmon in her hand, its juice dirtying her little skirt.
"Eating too hastily?"
Nan Jiaojiao finally managed to catch her breath and turned slightly, causing Elder Nan's hand to pause.
"I'm okay, just choked a bit."
"You child, still so careless when you eat."
Elder Nan handed her a cup of milk tea.
Nan Jiaojiao took it, wiped her fingers, and drank a couple of sips from the cup.
Elder Lu watched the scene with interest, stroking his beard meaningfully, "Ah, so it's something that shouldn't be mentioned."
"Ahem..."
Nan Jiaojiao wiped her mouth, awkwardly changing the subject, "Grandpa Lu, are you staying for dinner tonight?"
Elder Lu looked at her and smiled, "Yes, I am staying not just for dinner but for two days, brought my luggage along."
"How can you be so thick-skinned!" Elder Nan was angry.
