Chapter 1 - Ch 1: I'm A White Zetsu?

"Agh!"

In an unnamed forest located somewhere in the Land of Earth, a humanoid white creature screeched in pain as its fingers, now shaped into claws, dug deeper into its body as if trying to pull something out of it, but to no avail. Soon, the agonised screech stopped, and the creature stopped struggling as its body went limp. But what followed next was an unexpected transformation as his short green hair turned brown, pale white skin into a healthy tan, its facial structure changed and gained more mature traits, that wasn't it, he was no longer naked. A simple blue pants and a shirt without shoes, but at least he no longer needs to show his dingdong anymore, not like the white creature had it in the first place.

"What the hell?"

A pained groan escaped from his mouth; everything hurt, literally, from the tip of his toe to the end of his hair; all of it could be described as simply hurting. After taking a few deep breaths, he finally forced himself to get up from the ground and dust himself off. He felt a little light-headed, but soon enough he got a hold of himself.

"I thought my cold was getting better... what is all this sudden ache?"

As he was rubbing his eyes, his vision stabilized from being a blurry mess, allowing him to finally perceive his surroundings. He was in a forest, not in his room inside his bed, but a lively forest thriving with life. He looked at the clear sky looming above him with a shining sun and a barely visible moon that almost seemed like dissolving into the blue sky.

The first thought that came to his mind after seeing this was that he had been kidnapped and had become a victim of possible human trafficking that had gone very wrong. As for something like sleepwalking? Excuse him, but he lives on the fifth floor at the city center as far from greenery as possible. He doesn't think any kind of sleepwalk will deliver him to a forest safely.

He lifted his shirt, checking if there was any additional scar or sewn wound. Luckily, his body was clean of anything like that. A sigh of relief escaped from his mouth; at least he didn't become a victim of organ harvesting.

Well, it can't be a prank since most of his friends are broke just like him. So that leaves the most unlikely option of the transmigration, right? Actually, that seemed like a little too big a jump in logic. Whatever, he isn't feeling well, so he isn't thinking clearly.

"If it is what I think it is, then I should have some kind of cheat, right?"

[That's right!]

A blue transparent screen appears in front of him. Followed by a cheerful voice that's hard to distinguish between male and female due to how neutral it is.

[Howdy ho, my dear host. It's I! Your dearest systemo came to your call for help.]

"System is it then? Good, I was a little afraid it was something out of the norm for a moment."

[I see you are accepting this very well. That's good, it means you are one of the few rare mortal souls that can keep their composure even in the hardest of situations. Which is truly great fortune for me as a system. Do you wanna know why?]

"Sure."

[Because you guys tend to live longer than other types ^^. Finding another host after the previous one is absolute pain in the ass. So let's survive as long as we can, my dearest of the dear host.]

Cheerfulness in the system's voice fades into something else. Sudden change of personality made him blink a few times before letting out a chuckle.

"A system with an attitude? That's good, I was a little afraid things would turn boring real quick if my cheat is just something like an operating system without any characteristics."

[Oh, that's good then, my dear host, because all my previous hosts like to say I am pretty handy. Anyway, enough with the chitchat, let's get into the little more important matters, shall we?]

[A fool can be called a wise man, a tyrant can be named a benevolent ruler, it doesn't matter what's true or what's a lie as long as you believe it is the truth. Therefore, I present to you the system that fools the world into believing the falsehood. The Fool's Q&A System.]

[Host: Roman Rachel]

[World: [Naruto].]

[Species: Zetsu.]

[Abilities: [Zetsu Physiology], [Mayfly Jutsu].]

[Items: None.]

[Belief Points: 0.]

He blinked for a few moments, his eyes first stayed on the world section before going to his species section.

'Zetsu?...'

The face of ugly white bastards flashed in his mind, followed by one of their iconic abilities of shapeshifting. He then looked at his hands, staring at them for a second, and just for a moment, he felt like his hands turned into the featureless white hands of Zetsu.

"Fuck... meeeee... seriously?!"

[Don't worry, host with enough [Belief Points], I can turn a germ into higher higher-dimensional life form, let alone you into something else.]

Roman lets out a tired sigh and nods his head, agreeing to the system. After all, this is what cheats are for, aren't they?

***

"Hm?"

At the Rain Village, Zetsu, with a face split into black and white, turns around, tilting their head. They stared in the direction of the Land of Earth for a few seconds before turning around and heading back to the huge metal tower with a face engraved on it.

"Did something happen?"

A hoarse voice came out from the black side of their face, which they shook, and the white side spoke.

"Nothing important, I just lost connection with one of my clones. I didn't receive any feedback on what killed it, so I felt a little curious for a second."

"If it's in that direction, then it should be the Land of Earth, right? Then it's probably some ninja on patrol that detected your clone."

"You are probably right."

With that, two of them continued walking towards the main hall, but just as they were about to reach it with a flash of light a holographic screen appeared in front of them.

***

The ninja world was in shambles due sudden appearance of holographic screens, normal civilians were frightened while the ninjas were trying their best to dispel the screen as genjutsu, yet the only result they got was them wasting their chakra.

In his office, Sarutobi Hiruzen, also known as the Third Hokage, took a sip from his pipe before blowing out a few circles of smoke. Behind him, several masked Anbu members kneeled on one knee, waiting for his order.

"So this isn't a genjutsu."

As a veteran of several world wars and student of the late Second Hokage, he can tell this screen wasn't as simple as genjutsu, no matter how much it looked like one.

"The ninja world... what's happening to it?"

He felt his headache growing with each passing day as he quietly waited for the emergence of a promising candidate to take over his place. Or at least the return of one of them.

He looked at the distant sky through the window of his office. Looking at the clouds that traveling through the world unbothered by the worldly appears his mind couldn't help but wander into the distant past. There, he saw the silhouette of three teenagers in the distant past before each of them grew up and headed their separate ways.

"When are you planning to let this old man rest, my foolish disciples..."

His face saddened with each word he muttered before returning to its default expression and turning back. The Anbu ninjas patiently waited for their village's head is command, ready to fulfill any given order.

"How is Uzumaki Naruto's situation?"

Anbu with owl mask answered.

"He is currently sleeping at his apartment, unaware of the current ordeal. Currently, there are four members watching over the jinchuriki. But we would recommend transferring him to a safehouse located at the edge of the village in case he runs rampant."

Hiruzen nodded his head. Perhaps that was for the better.

"Do as you said."

"Yes, sir."

Soon, the owl mask disappeared. Hiruzen looks at a cat-masked Anbu.

"You escort Konohamaru to safety."

The cat mask simply nodded before disappearing. He then looked at the bird mask.

"You-"

His next words died in his throat, almost making him choke on them. First comes a strange ringing sound before writing in a completely alien language, yet all of those who read it could understand. What shocked him most wasn't this strange language but the question written in it.

[Question: What method did Orachimaru use to kill Sarutobi Hiruzen?]

Orachimaru killed him? When? But he is still alive right now.

Well, his shock didn't end there. Soon, a cheerful voice echoed in his mind.

[Hello? Hello! Hello! I hope this shocking reveal of ours piqued your interest in us. For anyone wondering, we are called [The Grand Future Question & Answer Broadcast]. Due to the upcoming disasters, your distant descendants created us to help you all in the hope of changing the future. You might not believe us now, but believe us... We are here for your own good.]

Hiruzen's frown deepens; he doesn't believe this cheerful voice at all. Everything they spoke of is simply too nonsensical, and even if he believes it by some miracle... It's too good to be true.

[So, just to help you guys process the info a little more quickly, we would now enable the chat function.]

[Enjoy.]
