Chapter 885 - Newly Formed Universe - 885

This discovery sparked a widespread search for similar rooms around the Multiverse, and within a few years, three more sites were discovered.

They had varying strengths, but there was always a painting.

Eventually, this being was given a nickname. "The Painter."

In another Universe within the Multiverse, one newly formed, an unusual situation occurred. Instead of a vast and widely spread variety of life being formed with the start of the Universe, three beings were born.

These beings were known as the first beast, the first human, and the first monster.

Born far and separate from each other, they wandered alone for years.

Millions and billions of years passed before their first encounter. It did not result in a fight, but conversation. These beings had wandered around without ever meeting another for billions of years.

They had never even considered the possibility of other life existing.

All three soon learned of each other. They met, sparred, and shared ideas.

This continued for millions of years before the walls of the Universe shook.

Powerful beings, seeing a new Universe formed, entered with their people. Trillions filled up the new Universe. It was still in its earliest stages and was quite small, only about a tenth of the size of the original Universe before it ever expanded.

When countless beings entered, the three split up and managed to blend in well, keeping a low profile. Nobody ever noticed that there had been life in the Universe before they entered.

When other life started to be born and the Universe became as unimaginably diverse as the rest of the Multiverse, they didn't even have to hide anymore.

But they did not meet for a long time.

Each one had their own stories of the time when the invaders arrived. All of them had experienced a great change in personality.

Before, they had never even thought of enemies, and had naturally been friends. Now, it was as if infinite variations appeared, and all took different paths.

Despite all of that, when they met up for the first time since the invaders arrived, they saw each other as friends.

They formed ideas and plans together.

But a few issues arose.

No longer had they lived in solitude.

The first human and the first beast had grown attached to their fellow beings, or at least certain groups of them.

While they talked about only expelling certain invaders, the first monster grew quiet and solemn.

There was nobody like him. A monster, by definition, was something outside of nature, something unnatural.

Some would call incredible talents monsters, but they weren't truly monsters. A monster could not relate to any other being. Their thoughts did not follow any defined path. Humans had morals. Beasts had desires. Monsters had nothing in their hearts besides what they formed themselves.

Even having a goal was hard for the first monster. But he had thought that these two shared the goal he had formed, to expel the invaders and return their Universe to peace. He wouldn't have imagined that these two would not feel the same.

When the first human and the first beast noticed the first monster's silence, they looked at him.

But the first monster put a smile on his face. "I'll follow whatever you two agree on."

The other two smiled and continued talking.

Eventually, it was decided that they would move forward with the plan of expelling all invaders except for a large group of humans and a clan of beasts similar to the first beast.

The first monster had already told them he didn't have any such inclinations, which they understood.

"By the way, why take a human form?" The first human asked the first monster.

The first monster had met them looking like a human. "A habit. It blends in well."

The first human nodded, and they dispersed.

The first monster fell quiet and returned.

The first human returned to a luxurious castle filled with happy humans and his family.

The first beast returned to his clan, who worshipped him like a god.

The first monster returned to his cave. His cold, dark, quiet cave.

Years passed as the three grew stronger. Each of them had unimaginable talent, which allowed them to grow to the False Immortal realm at an astonishing speed.

That is when they first took action. The stronger being that had come was merely an Earth Immortal. While that Earth Immortal wasn't strong enough to travel in the space between Universes herself, she had used a spaceship created by a powerful Celestial Immortal to arrive with her people. Others had used similar methods.

After all, not much importance was placed on such a small and new Universe. There were already millions of Universes.

The Earth Immortal was a powerful beast known as the priestess.

The three slowly attacked vital points, before finally showing up in front of her.

By that point, she had been driven to near insanity trying to deal with this situation.

She did not hold back at all when they arrived, instantly attacking.

The first human, the first beast, and the first monster surrounded her.

The first monster was in human form, leading the priestess to misunderstand who he was.

After a few minutes of battle, she sent the first beast and the first human flying back.

She grabbed the first monster by the neck and looked into his eyes as she squeezed.

If he was a human, he would have died within a second.

But he was no human.

Tentacles shot out, his human form dissolving.

The priestess could only look on in shock as tens of tentacles pierced her body, sucking away her lifeforce and corroding her skin.

Some of the tentacles turned sharp, cutting her body into pieces.

When all was said and done, the first monster reappeared in human form, panting softly.

The first human and the first beast looked at him in shock. The power he had just displayed was incredible.

"We've won." The first human said after a moment.

They sat down where the priestess had once stood, among the stars.

The first human pulled three bottles of wine out of his spatial storage and gave the other two one each.

"Let's share a drink on this day."

All three smiled as their bottles clinked and they drank to their victory.
