Many had similar thoughts to Ye Li. If they left the Multiverse, they could become a god of their own Universe, one that could not be found. No longer would they be beneath anyone else.
These thoughts mostly occurred to the weaker, yet not quite irrelevant Path Creators. Only a few of the truly top tier Path Creators thought of doing such a thing.
It would still be a bit longer before anyone else reached the Chaos Immortal realm, so these plans would have to wait.
Lu Jue was the next to reach the Chaos Immortal realm. Zhou Fan felt that Lu Jue could give him a run for his money, though he was more than confident in winning. With so much time having passed, the power of Cultivation was unimaginably powerful.
Zhou Fan was closing in on a breakthrough. It had taken even more time than he had thought.
A few more million Sage Years passed, marking 25 million Sage Years since he had broken through to the Chaos Immortal realm. He was not quite there, but within the next 5 million Sage Years, he should be ready.
After around two million Sage Years, Zhou Fan paused.
The River of Cultivation reacted strongly as a supreme talent was born. As time had passed and the Multiverse grew more and more populated, the River of Cultivation had been reacting almost constantly. Even if most were minor pops. But with this being born, a pillar of water shot out like a geyser. It even caused small waves to appear on the river, affecting it greatly.
Zhou Fan found this new being instantly. It was actually the son of the Buddha.
What surprised Zhou Fan was not simply this fact, but the fact that the Buddha had a son. He didn't seem like the type, and when Zhou Fan investigated it through the traces of time, he learned he was right. While lesser cultivators could only reproduce through sexual activity, powerful cultivators had many different methods, especially Immortals.
The Buddha's son was also the son of a powerful Buddhist Immortal. She was in the Universe Immortal realm, near the peak of the Multiverse.
They had used a method of combining the essence of their powers, adding a portion of their souls, and adding a portion of divinity. Then, over multiple Sage years, a fetus formed.
Once the fetus fully formed, it entered the Buddhist Immortal for nine months.
This was a common method of birth for those who wanted the best results. It was like a natural pregnancy, except better as it resonated with the Universe itself.
Zhou Fan had only been confused because he hadn't expected the Buddha to want a child. As he had said before, the Buddha didn't seem like the type.
But it wasn't ridiculous. Sudden impulses and thoughts took over everyone. Even Zhou Fan had reincarnated to become Skymender on an impulse.
The only thing that mattered was that the Buddha had a son, and he was overwhelmingly talented.
Zhou Fan had initially had some interest in the child, but since it was the Buddha's, there was no need for him to take him as a disciple.
Zhou Fan stopped paying attention, but just seven years later, the Buddha requested an audience.
Next to him were two people, the Buddha's son, Pan, and the mother of his son, a powerful Buddhist Immortal.
"It's been a while, Zhou Fan." The Buddha said.
Zhou Fan nodded. "Indeed. You seem a lot better."
The Buddha nodded. "We can talk about all of that stuff another time. I want to introduce you to my son."
"I've seen him already. He made quite a commotion within the River of Cultivation."
The Buddha looked prideful. "He is probably even more talented than me. Show him."
Pan nodded and held out his hand. "Buddha's Palm."
A large Buddha's Palm appeared and hit the ground, though it didn't react in the slightest.
Pan was only at the Core Formation realm, but his casual attack could probably defeat most Nascent Soul realm cultivators, and that was on a Universal standard.
"Impressive. Why bring him here?" Zhou Fan asked.
"I want you to take him as a disciple."
Zhou Fan was a bit surprised. "Why not you? You could guide him just as well as me up until the Heaven Immortal realm."
"He is my son, and I want him to have the best. Viewing it in black and white, the difference may not be large, but with your breadth of spirit, I'm sure you will help my son far more than I can."
Zhou Fan didn't think about it much and agreed. It wouldn't hurt at all, and he had been considering such a thing before he realized that this child was the Buddha's son.
The Buddha thanked Zhou Fan. "Go and say hi to your Uncle Zhou Fan."
Pan walked over. He was a little bit nervous, but still greeted Zhou Fan with manners.
"Don't bother with that. Come on."
Zhou Fan waved his hand. He and Pan disappeared.
The Buddha was relieved. "See. Only the best for our son."
The woman nodded with a smile and left with the Buddha.
At the top of the Multiverse, Zhou Fan and Pan appeared in the yard outside of the mansion.
Pan was startled for a moment before calming down.
Zhou Fan looked at Pan, examining his affinities and general talent.
He gave him a few techniques to try. Surprisingly, Pan sucked. It wasn't even below average, but downright terrible. He took a few tries to even perform a basic sword technique right.
Zhou Fan was confused, but didn't stop giving him techniques to try.
When he handed over a palm technique and Pan performed it, Zhou Fan was stunned. Completely perfect on the first attempt.
Zhou Fan gave him another palm technique, and Pan used it perfectly on the first try yet again.
Zhou Fan then gave him a fist technique, which Pan failed at using miserably. Then a finger technique, which failed just as badly.
Zhou Fan tilted his head. This was… extremely unique.
