My Dad gave me a very important mission to find his old comrades and deliver a message. Going off Dad's descriptions they should be easy to find, just older looking. Skipping my way towards the building I joined the back of the line and asked the man in front of me, "What's with the long line?".
He answered, "You haven't heard of the Lulled Sea. It's the most famous bar in Foract".
I asked, "How long has it been famous?".
He answered with, "Ever sense the Lullaby's identity was revealed. The bar opened not too long after.".
I asked confused, "Who's the Lullaby?".
He gasped before saying, "How do you not know who The Lullaby is? He's the most wanted assassin in Foract. Son of Izune Korizaguya, the strongest in the kingdom.".
Dad's a wanted criminal? Not bad for the man I chose to adopt me. I smiled proudly and waited patiently while the line slowly dwindled. I sighed, "Can this line go any slower?".
After another half hour of waiting I finally made it to the door. Standing in front of the doorman I said, "I'm here to see the owner.".
He only grunted at me and stepped aside. Walking inside I was met with the smell of liquor and alcohol. Ugh this sucks. Looking around I didn't see anyone matching the descriptions. Taking a seat at the bar I called out to the bartender, "Hey, can I get some water?".
He asked, "How did you even get inside?".
I answered, "The doorman grunted at me and let me pass.".
Not questioning it he slid the mug over to me before leaving in the back. Spinning around in the chair I took another look at the building's occupants. Noticing someone who looked similar to one of the descriptions I jumped down from the stool and started after her. Pushing my way through the crowd I snagged her sleeve and called out, "Mina!".
She whipped her head around and gripped my wrist extremely hard. Pulling me into the back room she demanded, "Who told you that nickname?".
I stuttered, "M.M...My Dad did.".
Mina's eyes went wide and she said, "Oh really. Where is he now?".
I'm starting to think I chose to follow the wrong person. She started grinning menacingly before rushing past me towards the door. Dad's in trouble and I'm too scared to stop her. At least I know who my Dad's in love with, I'll start calling her Mom and see how she reacts. Laughing to myself I felt a hand touch my shoulder and swung around to see a huge man dressed like he was in a winter storm. I know exactly who this is. I said, "Arrion, Dad told me you're strong.".
Arrion asked, "Who's your Dad?".
I waved him down and whispered, "Rokuza.".
Arrion shot up straight and quickly checked around us making sure no one overheard. He asked, "Aren't you a little too old to be his kid?".
I shyly answered, "Dad saved me from a terrible situation. My ability was being abused by the King of Ventess.".
Hearing Ventess Arrion's cold demeanor dropped several degrees. The ground and walls started freezing and frost was billowing out of his coat. Are we having a freezing competition? I transformed into my half dragon form and released my aura dropping the small area into an instant death zone. I asked, "Did I win?".
Arrion answered surprised, "Yes, yes you did. I think you're stronger than I am.".
I just smiled at his words before a huge blast of heat lit up the room. I heard a woman yell, "Arrion, how many times have we told you not to freeze the bar.".
Fumiko, the woman with the worst temper in the entire kingdom going by Dad's explanation. Undoing my half dragon form I told her what I told Arrion. She started cackling and asked, "Who was the first person you ran into?".
I answered warily, "It was Mina.".
She started laughing harder saying, "Out of all people. Rokuza might die tonight.".
She was now on the ground wheezing before another voice asked, "What are you guys doing back here?".
The entire room was filled with static. I said, "Apparently my Dad's gonna die because of Mina.".
He started rubbing his eyes saying, "Rokuza you idiot.".
Then he disappeared in a flash of lightning. As smart as I was told. Getting ready to leave I heard an explosion from outside.
