At the same time, Alex and Callis swept in from the left—Alex with a rapid flurry of his dagger aimed at Brone's neck, and Callis with a blazing sweep of her magic that howled as it cut through the air.
Steel flashed, and magic flared as all four converged at once in a seamless timing and high momentum. For the first time in the battle, Brone was driven onto the back foot, forced to tighten his stance and defend rather than strike.
