Chapter 157 - Chapter 151- Announcement?

"You, as the vessel of my nemesis, have shown great strength. You are worthy to be my opponent!" The Dragon Monarch announced as he spread his arms and provoked Jin-Woo to launch another attack.

It has been some minutes since the battle began. The army of Shadows was going against the draconic forces, and clearly, the Shadow Army was overwhelming the dragons, given that Jin-Woo was converting each dead dragon into his shadow.

However, he couldn't say for himself that he was overwhelming his opponent. The Monarch of Destruction has gained the title of being the strongest monarch for a reason.

His body was transcended and his mana was soaring high. He possessed skills and experience that eclipsed the expectations Jin-Woo had from this battle.

He had the memories of Ashborn but that doesn't mean Jin-Woo could just manhandle the Monarch in front of him.

The extension of his powers, the celestial armor, was doing well in increasing his tolerance and nullifying physical attacks to some point, but that wasn't enough.

He needed more. He had to be faster!

*SHLINK*

Like a streak of light, Jin-Woo's figure disappeared from the previous spot, and in the next instance, the kamish daggers Jin-Woo held were clashing against Antares' blade.

The realm trembled under the effect of the two immortals clashing and the nearby troops were sent flying.

Antares grinned, allowing his large fangs to peek out before he pushed Jin-Woo away and followed with a slanted vertical slash.

Jin-Woo barely had time to dodge, before he threw his left dagger in Antares' direction—which easily missed when the Dragon Monarch tilted his body.

Jin-Woo smirked before clenching his fist and using the Ruler's Authority to bring the dagger back to attack the Monarch's shoulder

*SQUELCH*

Antares didn't show much of a reaction other than a growl before he held the dagger and pulled it out of his back before throwing it away.

Jin-Woo was quick to follow up with the dagger rush. Assigning every dagger in his possession he launched them at his rival and channeled them in precise fashion to target Antares' vitals.

However, the Dragon Monarch never left his focus on the battle despite the small discomfort he felt on his back. With his maw parted wide like a true beast he released flames at such ferocity that Jin-Woo had to leap back or he would have got enveloped in live flames.

'I need to attack him from a distance.' Jin-Woo discerned after battling the Monarch for the past twenty minutes. Jin-Woo himself was a close combatant however, sometimes he had to change his battle style for better results.

"Bellion!" Heeding the command of his Monarch, the Grand Marshal threw his composite sword in Jin-Woo's direction, which the latter caught with ease and whipped on the ground, creating ripples.

"A weapon can never be the reason for your victory, Monarch." Antares voiced a piece of advice as he smirked in amusement at Jin-Woo.

Jin-Woo remained unaffected as he clutched the sword handle and responded in a cold tone, "Yes, but it can become an important factor."

Jin-Woo directed the daggers, which were thrown away previously, to surround Antares, but none of them advanced toward the Dragon King.

Jin-Woo launched into action as the King of Dead meticulously wielded the sword and twirled on his feet. The momentum of his body split the sword into several connected fragments and advanced toward Antares at an insane pace.

Antares narrowed his eyes and realized the Dragon's breath wouldn't make it this time. He raised his sword with both hands and stabbed it into the ground—creating shock waves that threw Jin-Woo off balance and the incoming blades lost their target.

Antares smirked; however, before he could have launched into action, a sudden stabbing sensation emerged from the back of his neck.

"Shadow Monarch..." Gritting his teeth in annoyance, Antares pulled the dagger out of his neck, and under sheer pressure, he broke the dagger into several pieces.

The slight distraction was enough for Jin-Woo to appear above Antares and in the next moment, the thick fragment of the composite sword hit Antares right on his head.

**BOOOOOOOOM**

The void trembled under the deafening blow that Jin-Woo landed.

He landed behind the spot where Antares stood—anticipating that the Dragon King must have incurred heavy damage.

However, it was Jin-Woo's grave mistake to think that the strike could have stopped Antares.

It was the silence before the disaster.

"Haru? What happened?" Feeling Haru jerking suddenly, Jinah asked in concern.

They have returned from the void after Jinah defeated the Ruler and are currently sitting on the terrace.

Haru felt the rage of the Dragon Monarch, and because of that, he was slightly concerned about his Sunbae.

Haru had his 'eyes' on the battle going on in that dimension, and the moment he felt that Jin-Woo's life was in danger, Haru would intervene.

However, telling that to Jinah would make her worried and that was unneeded.

"It's nothing, just thinking about something."

"Was it related to me?" With a smile and her eyes sparkling she asked.

Haru chuckled as he pressed his finger against her small nose and told her, "Most of the time, I think about you. But right now, I am thinking about our future."

As Haru said that, he rubbed his hand on Jinah's belly.

Jinah blushed slightly, hearing that as she shyly asked, "Do you think we should tell our parents about it?"

Haru was unsure about it. They were only eighteen years old, and surely Jinah's father and brother wouldn't like the fact that Haru ended up impregnating Jinah this soon. More so, when they weren't even married yet.

Although they considered themselves husband and wife from heart, body, and soul, there was something called formalities.

And those formalities were regarded as marriage.

Haru heaved a sigh as he suggested, "I think we should wait for now and-" Suddenly his voice halted and eyes widened.

"Haru? Ah!" Jinah exclaimed as she found the space beside her emptying and Haru suddenly disappearing into thin air.

Her heart began to throb to think what could make even Haru panicked.

Looking at the sky she couldn't help but mutter, "I hope you two return safely."
