The seemingly flesh gathered within the entire dungeon is, in reality, the life force painstakingly collected by the Old Ancestor, originally intended for shaping the new god's body. Unfortunately, life doesn't always go as planned.
Once the Old Ancestor was taken down, that flesh lost its vitality, akin to a corpse whose heart has stopped beating, that abundant life force lost its physical vessel and began to veer towards another extreme—decay.
If left unchecked to rot and ferment within the dungeon, it might not just result in a plague but could even lead to something like "Scarlet Decay," which wouldn't be surprising.
There's even a possibility that the uncontrolled life force could, in a place filled with supernatural power like the dungeon, give birth to another intangible flesh or a monster like a God of Pigmen.
Or it might attract the attention of some presence from the void, as supernatural power cannot be comprehended through normal means.
