The difference, Di Tou thought, was the fact that in the world of cultivation, he had a dream and a destination. He wasn't just working to fill his stomach or earn a wage, or even simply just to pass the time. He was working hard for his dream. A dream that would work even in a world that had changed. As a result, he didn't feel scared or worried when the scenery of the world around him changed, or when things no longer seemed to be going the way he expected.
Because no matter what, succeed or fail, he had been working towards something he believed in and had tried his best. Even if in the end things turned out moot, at the very least he wouldn't have any regrets! Could there have been better ideas? Better ways to use his efforts? Perhaps, but he couldn't have come up with them, seeing as he hadn't come up with them after thinking his very hardest! So no matter what, he had performed to his best and could say so confidently.
