In other words, the Watching Mountain was a plague that had to be killed! After all, whether ot not Di Tou agreed with the Heavens, at the very least where the Heavens were around, there was at least a certain semblance of balance and order, and cultivators wouldn't go too far beyond the limit. The Heavens were sort of like… a collar, cultivators good or bad were limited in their interactions with the mortal world. It wasn't at all like the Southern Continent where the wizards had fully taken over society! Although there were still many cases of sacrifices and slaughters occurring in the other continents, at the very least it wasn't so systematised!
