Di Tou remembered a long time ago, back on Earth he had once heard about a concept called the wisdom of the crowd. Within a large group of individuals, one would naturally find a lot of people who were uneducated, or just generally uninformed about any given subject. This was natural! After all, there were countless subjects in the world, and it would be strange for any expert to know a little about everything, much less a lot about everything. This would only be more true for any given individual.
But, interestingly enough, if you were to ask the same question to everyone in a crowd, assuming they couldn't first influence one another and talk about the answer… surprisingly enough the general consensus would turn out fairly close to the truth.
And this wasn't under the assumption that the majority of the people in the crowd knew something about the subject. It was just a matter of aggregate wisdom!
