"It's for my own sake. Don't worry about it."
Vale studied her for a moment, but he didn't pry further. He knew Faith well enough to recognize when she had drawn a line. The seals on her body were not just barriers to protect herself, they were choices to make herself stronger.
Then, Faith shifted the topic.
"Vale… aside from making those Chaos Immortals bow down to you, what is your plan?"
Vale didn't expect the sudden question as his gaze drifted toward the ceiling of the hall.
"I only want a peaceful life. But peace won't come easily. The Void Immortals are already moving, the Timeless King is watching, and the higher realm hides threats we don't even understand. If I stay still, I'll be crushed. I have to get stronger."
Faith's eyes moved slightly and nodded. "Stronger in this lower realm? That will be difficult. This world lacks divinity. You'll hit a ceiling sooner than you think."
