"As for your question... I was tricked."
Corey narrowed his eyes, and then he gently placed his cup of coffee on the table.
"What do you mean? Who or what tricked you?"
Archmage Kael tilted his head slightly while raising his brows. "And why do you want that information? What are you going to do with it? It's not like you're from my planet, so how would you know anything about my current and past situation?"
Corey smiled. "You can just say that I'm curious."
"Curiosity killed the cat, boy." Archmage Kael warned.
"And I'm a lion with fangs and claws... Not a cat." Corey's smile remained, and the Archmage could not help but laugh out loud.
"Boy o boy. When last did I get a good laugh like this. I can give you that at least. You're funny. Very funny."
Corey shrugged with the same smile. "Thank you. I don't get that very often."
