The rest of the wedding went on like a dream that somehow kept stretching into something more surreal by the minute. It wasn't chaotic, no. Everything was smooth, elegant, tightly run by professionals who had obviously handled the weddings of nobility and celebrities before. But it didn't stop it from being exhausting.
There were speeches. So many speeches. Some heartfelt. Some overlong.
Bella's father tried to make a toast but got emotional halfway through and had to pass the mic to someone else.
Alice made a surprise presentation, a freaking presentation, complete with slides, and somehow included memes in it. High-res. Coordinated. Terrifyingly efficient.
Then the dances. The first dance started with Allen and Shea, as planned. Soft lighting, string quartet, camera drones slowly circling like trained birds. Her hand in his, her body close, and her grin too smug for a bride.
