Mila was still breathless, still limp beneath him, cheeks warm and chest fluttering. She blinked slowly, like her brain hadn't caught up to her body yet. Her limbs felt like they'd been melted into the mattress, her skin damp with sweat, heart rattling against her ribs like it didn't know how to slow down.
She opened her mouth. Then closed it. Then tried again.
"N‑No… I mean, yes. Wait, no." Her voice cracked as she buried her face into the crook of his neck, groaning. "I‑It's not because you're bad! I just— I'm just embarrassed…"
Allen stared at her for half a second, then barked a laugh. Not mocking. Just deeply amused. He shifted back slightly, brushing her hair from her flushed face with a knuckle.
"I get it," he said, still grinning. "It's cute."
She turned redder. "Don't say it's cute…"
He leaned in and nipped her lower lip gently, just enough to make her squeak.
"Still cute," he whispered.
