He was crying,
He knew.
It was pathetic,
He knew that as well.
But he couldn't help it, he really tried, but when he looked at the table, his family complete.
His parents were safe and alive.
His brother's were young and worried free.
Audius was still with them,
He couldn't just help it.
He let out a sniffle, he tried to hold it in but he just felt choked, the spoon in his hand fell as he tried to use them to clean his tears, he didn't even realize when he started to sob, he felt so pathetic and weak yet very happy.
He never knew you could feel such combination of emotions.
They were staring at him,
He knew.
They were worried,
He also realized that but he just couldn't.
He let out a frustrated sigh.
"What is wrong with me, I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, I-i just....." He was abruptly caught off by an embrace.
"It's okay, it's completely normal to feel overwhelmed sometimes, just let it out, we are all here for you " His mother's warm voice was enough to bottle him over.
He held her tight and wept, he has never been as scared as he was right now, what if this isn't real, he wouldn't be able to handle it.
" Little Lucien, your father's food might be horrendous but you don't need to waste your tears for it" audius said calmly trying to lift his mood which is thankfully did.
He let out a snort and chuckled softly while still in mother's embrace.
"Father you see what you have done, your cooking had scared Lucien into tears, you should be ashamed of yourself" Caelum said with feigned disdain
"Tsk, tsk, quite a shameful sight" Altair played along with them.
"Just manage your father's cooking for now, it's my fault for not having a good eye back then picking him" Mother even played along not letting father off
Shameless father,"..."
And father who was used as a Cannon fodder was speechless
He chuckled loudly, feeling very light and joyful.
What is wrong with him,
what was he trying to do,
Why ruin this moment for everyone including himself.
He got himself self together and raised his head from his mother's embrace and smiled softly.
He looked at everyone and decided to play along.
"I'm sorry, I just felt sad and decided to mourn our stomachs since they will be probably dead after this meal"
"Don't you dare accuse me of murder alone, audius is as much as responsible as I am " Father smiled at me warmly after he said that.
Laughter and warmth resumed after he said that, he knew they were still worried but decided that comforting him was enough for them and he felt extremely touched by their consideration.
By the time lunch was over, one could actually call it supper, mother decided that the servant will sit this one out and thought it was a good idea to ask them to do the dishes.
They did clean the dishes and also the floor and themselves.
They were sent to their rooms to clean themselves up and come down to watch a movie.
"But we already did that" Altair argued.
"The fact that you spilled the water you were supposed to use for the dishes on yourselves, does not in any way mean you are clean. So go up now and do that" She said calmly with no room for argument.
Lucien was not thrilled about this, recalling how massive the restroom was not to mention the walk-in closet, he already felt drained,who designed this building
Extravagant much.
He made his way upstairs only to be stopped by Altair who just gave him a hug and let as quickly as he was through, not even saying a word, he did appreciate the hug don't get him wrong but the attitude of second brother was a little confusing.
"Don't mind him, he is just being.....him I guess " Caelum said right behind him before slowly ruffling his head, he looked up to meet his eyes
"You are going to be alright, so will everyone else, okay" Caelum continued softly, he didn't even know how much he needed to hear that until he said it.
He nodded not trusting his voice at the moment, he smiled softly at me before making his way towards his own room, smacking Altair on his way, which led to a chase.
He shook his head in amusement at the sight and made his way towards his own room only to repeat his earlier predicament.
He got lost... again.
Thank God for coreband, after he was done freshening up and dressing in a comfortable nightwear, he made his way down.
By the time he arrived at living room, everyone was already present waiting for him supposedly.
'Curse their long legs ' he thought as he made his way towards an arm chair but Mother pulled him to the sofa to sit with her.
Caelum and Altair sat next to each other on the floor their back to the sofa he was currently sitting on.
Father made his way to the sofa and sat at the other end.
Audius was making his way to the arm chair he was originally going for before mother stopped him and convinced him to sit on the floor next to Altair.
"Good, if I can't have it, neither can you' he thought smugly only to be pulled into an embrace by mother again, she certainly is clingy today, well I guess I don't mind as much.
Father decided it would be a fun idea to watch a horror movie until mother out vetoed him, so we eventually had to watch a romantic comedy, which was honestly way more terrifying than the horror movie would have been
The most horrifying part was their stupidity and worst of all it was repetitive.
He could feel father trembling from restraining his annoyance and could almost see the vein popping out of caelum from holding back his comment.
Altair and Audius was probably scarred for life
By the time the movie was done, there was tears in both mother and father's eyes for entirely different reasons .
After we were done with the movie it was already time for bed, yes if you must know, we do have a curfew something he forgot that all kids have.

Immediately he arrived at his room he flopped himself on his soft bed and dozed off, feeling extremely drained emotionally and mentally.
