I stared at the partially naked woman as she glared angrily. She started to twist her hand tightening the chains around my body. "Answer me Yokai, what are you doing here in my realm." she growled.
I scowled at her. "I am not a Yokai. Who are you? Another being with plans to pass me off. The shinigami thought it was a good idea before I cut him down." I growled back definitely.
She seemed even more pissed as I said that. "HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT!" she roared. "I AM A GODDESS OF RIENCARNATION AND YOU ARE BUT A MERE SOILDER IN MY DOMAIN. ANSWER OR BE ABLITERATED!!"
I just glared back. "I don't know what your talking about. Let me go and I might consider sparring you." I said darkly.
She laughed at this. "AH HAHAHA. How do you plan do that. You cannot escape those chai---" I cut her off before she finished slicing through the chains with my sword and going to attack her. She was shocked before sending more chains at me which I cut through. I raised my blade to strike her before glowing gold chains trapped me.
I tried moving but these chains rendered me completely immobile. The goddess just looked at me shocked. "Ho-how- What are you?" she asked bewildered.
I glared at her. "I'm a human soul it seems." I said as I shrunk turning back into my human form. I had more control and appeared as a young man with an athletic build wearing an open black suit with no tie and black hair. I could still feel my "Yokai?" form ready to be summoned. Curious I summoned my sword back and I could still feel it like my Yokai form.
She just stared at me before placing her hand on my forehead. I felt invade my memories as I was powerless to do anything. Everything since the accident till the present.
She pulled away before laughing wildly and waving her hand. The chains got off me before disappearing. I stood up cautiously and continued to look at her.
She continued laughing for awhile before stopping. "Sorry, if I knew that you were such an interesting human from THAT world I wouldn't have acted like that. Now, let's get to business." she said as she waved her hand again.
I found myself on a white couch with a coffee table infornt of me. I looked across and saw that she sprawled out on an identical couch and was now wearing a white dress with a gold trim and had a golden laurel in her hair. She smiled sweetly at me and waved and a teacup appeared in front off me.
I hesitantly took a sip as I continued watching her. She stilled smiled at me before speaking. "I know you have questions, but before let me tell you what you had accomplished. You have summoned your celestial spirit weapon and battle spirit and made them into physical form. This is a feat that until now only immortals beings and gods have achieved this. The weapon and battle spirit power comes from the user ability to weild them. Currently since you have just unlocked them you can only use there abilities to a minimal. That should clear things up for you a bit. Any questions?"
I nodded before entering my thoughts. 'What she's saying makes sense, a person's ability to wield something comes from there skill, not how powerful or how well made something is. As I have just 'unlocked' them I am a novice at using them.' I thought before asking a question. "You said you offer me help, why?" I asked.
She sighed before leaning back on the couch. "I am unimaginably bored if you would believe it. It has been several millennium since I was last tasked to riencarnate someone. Not my fault they all ended dying early or breaking the laws if nature. Unfortunately gods and goddess of riencarnation privileges and status comes from the people the riencarnate. I have been unimaginably bored waiting for a chance to raise my status, but since of my low status I haven't gotten anyone that has ever managed to raise it, he'll its even been lowered a few times."
I listened to her rant with curiosity. 'So she wants someone who will be able to raise her status through their feats and renown. "I suppose this is where I come in?" I asked.
She glance back at me before straightening.
"Yes. You're achievements from still being dead would've granted you high praise if you did not defy a God. Now that have slain an avatar a the shinigami you will feel his wrath until he devours you, or you impress him. This is where I come in; one of the best ways to impress Gods is through reincarnation. We both gain something from this if I reincarnate you, you gain safety and I gain status. Keep in mind I'm the only one you will likely find that will offer you a deal like this."
I started to think about this. I'd get what I wanted, a chance at life, and she'd get what she wanted, a chance to raise her status. I mulled it over for a few moments before asking something: "If I riencarnate, will I loose my newfound abilities?" I asked.
She shook her head. "No, once you unlock them they cannot be locked without direct interference with the soul, a privilege I do not have, and I wouldn't do it anyway. I that all."
She looks at me, and I see something I thought I wouldn't. Desperation, she need this as much if not more then me. "I accept" I said.
"Great!" she said with much inthusiasm. "Now I can offer you one wish, normally it would be three but there are restrictions with your situation." she says holding up a opened envelope with the face of a shinigami on the back.
I nodded before thinking. I have to be careful here. "I wish for a snake bloodline with the ability to evolve into a dragon bloodline." I said. She seemed a bit surprised.
"Are you sure you want to make your wish before you know the world." she asked a bit nervous. "This will narrow down the options, and I lost alot of my memories, this is better." I respond with confidence.
She relaxes again. "Okay you have a point, time to spin." A wheel of fortune appeared with several names on it. I only recognized very few of them.
"Okay, let's spin." she said snapping her fingers. The wheel started spinning before landing on one. "The Shinobi world" it read.
She looked at it for awhile before turning to me and smiling. "Looks like you got a good one. I figured out how to get you your bloodline. Some advice I can offer you now is to meditate so you will be able to summon your abilities since doing it in a physical body is much harder. There is going to be so.e changes to them, but nothing to major. The second thing is..." her face turned serious "do not except sponsors, please."
The last request was strange but I could hear desperation in her voice. "Dont worry, I won't." I said. She relaxed after that and smiled again. "Time for you to be reborn now." she said as I started glowing before I disappeared.
A few minutes later.
The goddess was sprawled out on her couch with a smile on her face. She didn't feel like this since the begging, she finally had a chance to get out of that backstabers pit that he through her in.
A Ding sounded out as a blue message screen appeared to her left. She turned her head cursed. "Damn proud bastards." she cursed now a bit worried.
The message said: I haven't forgotten the insult, may misfortune follow him.
