"That time she came to our house with the eldest..."
Before Father Xiao could finish, Mother Xiao laughed angrily, "You two think you're so capable. Is she using what happened back then as leverage to get money from the eldest to keep her mouth shut? Come on, how much did you two give her?"
Father Xiao: "We did give some money to the Feng family girl, but after Old Feng found out, he took the money himself to the child's adoptive mother, but they didn't accept it."
"They didn't take it, so whose hands is the money in now?"
Mother Xiao asked.
"Old Feng saved it, saying that he intends to give it to the kid directly once they get into university."
Pausing momentarily, Father Xiao continued, "Today I went to see the old leader to ask for help in finding out about the kid's college entrance exam situation, and the eldest called home, probably to tell me about this."
