Losa frowned.
Ivan pondered the wording and then said, "He said that although you are the ruler of a powerful nation, please be aware that the Great Khan of my humble country is the greatest monarch under the Longevity Heaven, and you should at least show some respect to our national letter."
Losa chuckled, knowing that the envoy's words were certainly not as tactful as Ivan's translation, but he did not make much of it.
"Then let's see if your Great Khan shows me the least bit of respect."
Losa opened the national letter, its contents written in two languages: one in Persian, the other surprisingly in Latin.
"Lord Losa, I heard that you spent only a year, single-handedly replacing the Green-robed Arabs. Since then, from Cyrenaica to Adana, the vast lands have been under your rule, such accomplishments are even more impressive than my unification of the grasslands back in the day, and I admire it greatly.
