Chapter 63 - There goes the Homefront

A/N: This chapter, while it took me over three hours to write, will also be the last for a while. For this book at least. I'm happy to announce that Elden Ring Survivor (RWBY) [5 chapters] will be published soon before the release of this chapter.

Six has faced hundreds of beasts, thousands of raiders, and behemoths the size of tall buildings. However, right this instant, he felt that his neck was on the line. In front of him stood his wife, Willow, and the mothers of his two kids, Inko and Matsuki. Never had he before felt like he was on Death's door more than ever. Hell, this was coming from a man who had died before.

Currently, the three of them were glaring at each other in Six's dorm room at UA. Mitsuki, he could understand; Willow, he could understand; However, even the ever-calm Inko was glaring. Their reason? Who was the main wife, and how was this gonna be settled? Mitsuki and Inko both had known him longer, while Willow had married him in the wastes, a bit, in an old chapel.

Six, in this case, was doing his best to act like he was a part of the backdrop. The air was so tense that it could be cut with a butter knife. Finally, after a tense hour of glaring, the three of them nodded and then looked at Six. Six felt the reaper's scythe around his neck as all three turned at once.

.

"I call the left side," Mitsuki spoke with no room for argument.

"I got his chest," Willow then spoke.

"I got his right," Inko smiled in a way that said deal with it.

.

Six had only one thought. 'There goes the homefront.'

.

'At least they aren't trying to kill me or each other.' He just nodded and accepted his fate.

.

Now that that was settled, all they needed to figure out was where all four of them would be sleeping. Inko and Mitsuki's house was too small for the four of them, and Six's dorm was far too cramped to live in with four people. Not counting Eri and Elisabeth. So, that left only two options. House shopping, which would be difficult. Or, talking with Nezu and owing him a favor.

After thinking about it, Six decided to go to Nezu. He, at least, would understand, he'd hoped. If not, Six could bribe him or cut a deal. Nezu probably would laugh at him with that insane kakle of his. But he was the best option. So, with a heavy head, Six dragged his body towards Nezu's office.

When Six arrived at Nezu's office, he found it to be empty. This threw Six for a loop, as Nezu was a creature of habit and rarely left his office unless it was necessary. So, finding him gone made Six nervous and on edge. However, just as Six left, he ran into Midnight, who was looking for Nezu herself. When she heard that Nezu wasn't in his office, she paled. Six told her that he was going to look for him when she said that it wouldn't matter. Unless he wanted to be found, Six wasn't going to find him and be prepared to guard himself from being jumpscared.

She then ran off, possibly to tell the rest of the faculty to be on guard. Six just sighed and headed off to find Powerloader to see if he was willing to help set him up with a new dorm room or to expand the one he was already in.

|With Nezu|

...

"You can't have my school," Nezu hissed as he glared at the council members of the HPSC. "My predecessors and I have done all that we could to have that school be autonomous and to raise the best Heroes that have come for generations. Unless you have ANY legal law that states I have to hand it over, you're sorely mistaken."

"All we are asking is that you take into consideration that the man known as Courier Six is far from being in a neutral position." The President calmly stated. "After what he did to Deika city, we believe it's best to keep him under watch so that this doesn't happen again. So, once again, all we ask of you is to feed us information on who he's closest to. We need to make sure that he can be controlled so that another disaster like Deika City doesn't happen again."

"Again, that equates to handing over my school to you," Nezu hissed once again, "Not only that, you're playing a dangerous game with him. Should he find out that you ordered a hit on his life without the President's approval, he'll hunt you down and put your heads on stakes as an example of those who crossed him and tried to take his life."

.

Nezu then sighed, having said his piece.

.

"You need to understand one very important thing," Nezu spoke suddenly, "Six was once a broken man, a man who has seen horrors we have not even scratched the surface of. There are even things that he is still not sure of still, so you'll do well to leave him alone. He has fought and bled for those he cares about. He's fought monstrosities that could even kill AllMight in his prime. He has seen things that no one should. He understands things that no one will until it happens to them personally. He has secrets that are never meant to be told to anyone. HE HAS SEEN THINGS THAT WOULD MAKE THE GODS WEEP.

He is a man, both broken and bloodied. However, he is mending. That is what I wish for him to do right now. For it is the broken ones we must fear. Not out of pity, but they are the ones who would watch the world burn just to be warm when they are cold."

.

The council members were silent, not one even making a sound. They understood what it takes to break a man or woman. Even though it's indirect, they have blood on their hands as well. But for Six to be so broken that he's willing to burn the world for it, that's something that they haven't accounted for.

And for Six, that man may just have the ability to do so.

.

"Very well, just make sure nothing like Deika happens again."

"No promises, as not even I can control him."
