She spoke, saying, "Su Chen, about what you said yesterday, I agree."
Su Chen was still in a deep sleep, groggily answering the phone. Hearing Ling Momo's words, he was stunned for a while, utterly failing to grasp which matter she was referring to. So, with a somewhat bewildered voice, he asked back, "What's up?"
Clutching the phone, Ling Momo pursed her lips, then spoke again, her voice ethereal and faint, "Su Chen, let's get married."
Su Chen immediately sat up in bed and then, recalling the words he had said to her yesterday, it took him a long moment before he could utter a single word, "Okay."
After ending the call, a faint sourness crept into Ling Momo's heart. She lifted her head, staring at the blood-red sky on the eastern horizon, her expression growing more and more lost by the moment.
It was actually time for the knife to fall.
