Alexander Pierce had watched the video dozens of times. how his men had cornered the man who appeared out of nowhere in their supposed top secret base and had managed to evade capture over and over. but the man had been killed repeatedly, and yet every time a battle was over, one of his own men always took the ratty and beat up lab coat of the man and ran off claiming to be this Dr. Bright, killing dozens in the process.
Hydra originally wanted to capture and interrogate the man who had appeared out of nowhere because they thought he had an expiramental teleportation device, after all between his lab coat and his sudden appearance it was plausible that he had made some kind of breakthrough on a spacial device that warped him into the base. but then when they apprehended him, he took his own life, presumably to keep his secrets.
later that day, the squad leader of the team responsible for his capture had taken the man's belongings, while originally thought to be some kind of trophy, the agent had never shown such interests before, and upon realizing that he didn't know the access codes for neither the base, his own identification number, or even his own locker number he was detained, he showed no reaction to any of the implanted phraes from his brainwashing.
when it was determined that he had started calling himself by the name of the dead scientist, all of Hydra was confused. but a few days later, the former agent was found in a vegative state, a later brain scan showing complete brain death.
a review of the sites cameras showed that he had gathered his belongings and launched them through the bars on his windows, immediately falling limp as he did so. another agent had found the objects and began gathering them. However, halfway through his collection, he suddenly stiffened and looked around before gathering the rest of the belongings and immediately fleeing the premises.
again, they chased the man calling himself Dr. Bright, even though this new agent had no access to the case and shouldn't even have known that name, to an alley where a scuffle ensued, leading to the former agent being killed, but again one of the men he knocked down killed his former teammates.
the live feed of a helmet camera, though quiet from the distance and fuzzy from the damage sustained, picked up the man introducing himself as Dr. Jack Bright to another man out of the cameras view. however, a few words were also picked up, including 05...Foundation... and headquarters, as well as the sound of heavy metal scraping concrete.
Looking at another moniter, Pierce browsed another set of files, this time from what was supposed to be Furys' secure files. they listed dealings with an SCP Foundation, who they were, and what they stood for were unknown, but Fury had notes that stated they "Knew more than what should be possible" and they were "unusually perceptive" but this wasn't what he was looking for, Fury had tied the man to several failed Shield operations, or at least, on the surface they were Shield. only he knew they were Hydra trying to track down a strange girl who seemed to cause death to anyone in her proximity and was immune to conventional weaponry, Furys files place the presumed base in the sewers.
"Well then, it seems this SCP Foundation is becoming to great a thorn for us, they need to be dealt with quickly" he sent out an email to several Hydra task forces and the other Heads about a raid on the Foundation, he received only two words
"Hail Hydra"

Dr. Bright stood there, his researcher jacket covered in holes and blood, the nose of his current host was pouring blood from where he smashed it. but he just smiled, that same 'Look away if you dare' smile that adorned the faces of true troublemakers worldwide. "Tell me, how is the SCP Foundation after the event?" he asked. before I could answer, the sound of police sirens sounded, getting closer every second, "No time for that Bright, let's go. we don't wanna be here when they are." I said, opening a nearby manhole cover. Bright frowned as he turned. "Were the Foundation, aren't we? we've never hid from the authorities. We control the authorities." he said with confusion. "Not here, kid. cmon I'll explain at the base." I shouted as I crawled down into the sewers.
---one long walk later while being pestered for answers by a certain medallion dwelling man---
"Here we are, Bright, Foundation Headquarters. it's not much, but it's what we've got." I said, glad to have reached our destination. Bright looked around. However, there wasn't much hustle and bustle except security personnel. After all, we were only currently containing two anomalies. Bright looked around with sad eyes, " What happened?" he asked slowly.
" Simply put, we stopped existing. our Foundation detected pockets of Multiversal Instability ,but before we could prepare parts of the multiverse, it began collapsing. in less than a second hundreds of timeliness, and thousands of people simply ceased to be, the remaining fragments merged here, but this is the only foundation base that's made it. We've broadcast an SOS and rally beacons on all known official Foundation channels, but no one has responded. I've been working on rebuilding from scratch, but it's been a long fought battle. The world we merged with didn't have an SCP Foundation, and anomalies were common here, we've had to redefine how we classify anomalies because things here that we would have contained before are completely normal. but the goal of the Foundation doesn't change, Secure Contain and Protect Bright. We will always die in the dark, so the innocent may live in the Light. so tell me, we may not be your original Foundation, nor are we as powerful as we once were, but will you join us? to protect those in need of our unique services?" I spoke
Bright pondered for a moment. "What do you need me to do?" he said with conviction
I simply smiled as the notifications came
