Chapter thirty:
Meanwhile back at the Empire the Lyn Rakish went to report Barriss Offee's betrayal to Emperor Palpatine.
"So it appears that the New Confederacy of Independent Systems has returned, Lyn Rakish." Said Emperor Palpatine.
"Yes, my master. And it appears that Barriss Offee betrayed us." Replied Lyn Rakish.
"You will take her place." Said Emperor Palpatine.
"Yes my your majesty." Replied Lyn Rakish even though he was trying to hide her excitement.
"Do not fail me." Said Emperor Palpatine.
"I won't Emperor Palpatine. And you won't regret your decision." Replied Lyn Rakish as he left the throne room of Emperor Palpatine.
The next day in the CIS... Kina Ha smiled as she started to wake up.
"I suppose that I should go see what everyone is doing." Said Kina Ha as she got up from the bed and started to get dressed.
She then found Padme Amidala and Cale Lestin sitting together, and was looking out a window and at the stars.
Cale Lestin was still trying to make friends with the the Kina Ha and the rest of the Separatist, but making friends wasn't exactly his strong suit.
Cale Lestin knew that it would take time to get to know Kina Ha. So they just sat there in silence.
If it was just him and Barriss Offee he could have talked about training together, but that would be a very touchy subject for the Kina Ha. And if it was just him and the Kina Ha then they could have talked about Jedi stuff.
As Lama Su walked into the room, Cale Lestin took a deep breath of relief.
"Lama Su, it's good to see you." Said Cale Lestin.
"Yeah, we've been sitting here in awkward silence." Replied Barriss Offee.
"Assessment, it's time for dinner, Masters." Said a strange droid.
"That's Hk-47 he's a hunter killer series assassin droid that belonged to Darth Revan." Replied Kina Ha.
"Darth Revan? It's amazing that it survived this long, but as my father used to say never undermine a droid." Said Cale Lestin.
"Let's eat. I'm starving." Replied Padme Amidala as she took Cale's hand in her's.
