Chapter 7 - Friends

—Damn! I messed up again. What should I do? I'm really stupid! My school history is over. Bono, he won't snitch, right? Even if he does, I don't care. I'm sick of school. I want to go far away to find a new atmosphere and new people who don't know anything about me. I've even forgotten what it feels like to be a stranger. Every time I walk, people always look at me with the same gaze. I hate it.

Jon washed his hands in the toilet not far from the canteen, then washed his face. Afterwards, Jon left the toilet with a fresher face. He intended to reduce the tension in the canteen that was already too tense.

All of his subordinates who dominated the canteen looked very tense and awkward. They were just silent and didn't know what to do. In their hearts, they hoped that the bell would ring soon.

After arriving at the canteen, Jon sat down. But before three minutes had passed, the bell had already rung.

One by one, all of his subordinates in the canteen immediately said goodbye to Jon, leaving him alone.

—If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be like this. I would definitely have many caring friends, a true friend. Not those who accompany me only because they're afraid of me.

...?!"

In the midst of his loneliness, Jon suddenly felt extremely hungry.

—I forgot! I haven't eaten for three damn days! Fuck.

"Bro! Fried rice, as usual," said Jon to the cafeteria owner.

And at that moment, another story was created about Jon who had a monster-like appetite. Some people said that Jon could eat eight to ten plates of fried rice to feel full. Even Jon was surprised with himself, he couldn't believe he could finish eight plates of fried rice in less than half an hour (if not counting the time to cook the rice). And that's what made Jon even more convinced that he had been asleep for three days.

"How much is it, Bro?" asked Jon.

"Only for you, fifty bucks Bro."

"What, I don't have that much Bro. Can I owe you?"

The owner of the canteen just looked at Jon disappointedly. Seeing the owner's expression, Jon sighed and took out his wallet.

"I only have twenty-five bucks, Bro. I'll pay the rest tomorrow, in full without any discounts, really full! Okay, Bro? I'll pay the rest tomorrow, in full."

"Okay..."

Not long after that, Bono came to call Jon.

"Boss, you're called to the counseling room," Bono said with a trembling voice.

"Okay."

"Boss... I didn't say anything, I didn't say anything. I swear to God, I didn't say anything. I already said that I did everything to Ucil, Boss."

Jon walked towards Bono, and the closer Jon got to him, the more Bono trembled. Bono even dared not to look directly at Jon's face and bowed in fear.

Jon passed by Bono and said, "What's wrong? Why are you silent? To the counseling room, right?"

In the room, Jon sat on a sofa with Bono. In front of them, a female guidance counselor asked Jon questions and gave him warnings. Behind them, two male teachers watched everyone in the room. Although Jon was repeatedly prompted with questions and lectures about what had just happened to Ucil, he remained silent and ignored the counselor's words.

—Silence is golden. Tsun...? Sun? Oh, Sun Tzu.

In contrast, Bono continued to assist and back up Jon by explaining over and over again that he was responsible for what happened to Ucil.

At that time, Jon was trying to remember what had happened three days ago. The only memory that was still clear in his mind was when he came home from a party with his subordinates. He was sure he only drank two to three glasses.

After feeling something strange from the drink and feeling nauseous, Jon immediately went home and slept in his room. After that, he couldn't remember anything for three days. He even woke up in a very embarrassing state, with his pants and bed wet from his own urine.

Shortly after that, Jon suddenly felt an extremely intense headache. The same pain as when he was in the cafeteria before, but this time worse. Jon held his head with both hands and screamed loudly in the guidance counselor's room until it could be heard outside.

"AAAAAAAAAAARGHHH!!!!"

The guidance counselor, Bono, and several other staff members were shocked to see Jon in pain. However, the guidance counselors thought Jon was just pretending. They realized that Jon didn't hear a word of what they said.

Meanwhile, in his memory, Jon saw a very strange world and some strange creatures he had never seen before. The memory was very vague and unclear. The memory disappeared along with the headache he felt.

—What is that? Am I drunk again? The Bro's in the canteen couldn't have given me poison in his fried rice, right? No, I shouldn't always think negatively about others. I have to stay positive.

BRAGGGGGGG

"Hey, you! You're being asked this and that! You're being told this and that! How dare you to daydreaming and pretending to be sick! Listen to what your teacher is saying!" said the guidance counselor in an annoyed tone.

Jon immediately looked at the counselor with one hand still holding his head.

—Fuck! You scared me, damn it! What if I had a heart condition, huh?!! You call yourself a teacher? Fuck it.

The counselor who slammed the desk appeared frightened as Jon stared at him. Although the fear was just a momentary surprise, the counselor knew that Jon was the most terrifying student.

Another guidance counselor who joined the interrogation eventually gave up and ordered Jon to go back to his class.

"If this continues, it won't be resolved. You may go, Wahyu (Bono) you stay here," said the counselor.

"Yes, Ma'am," Bono replied with a nod.

Without saying a word, Jon stood up and quickly left the guidance counselor's office.
