Chapter 3 - Attribute Development System

After indulging in a sumptuous and satisfying lunch, Eric couldn't help but let out a satisfying burp. He felt incredibly full and decided to lay in bed for a while to let his food digest. As time passed, a maid entered his room to clear the table where he had eaten his lunch. The combination of his fullness and the warmth of his bed made it difficult for him to stay awake, and before long, he fell into a deep and restful sleep.

As the evening approached and Eric awoke, he knew that it was time for him to join his family for dinner. He took the time to prepare himself and freshen up by taking a bath, and donned a luxurious attire, as he made his way to the garden where the dinner was to be held.

There he saw many servants and chefs bustling about, preparing the sumptuous feast that was to be served. After a while, his father and mother arrived and Eric greeted them warmly with a bright smile on his face.

His siblings soon followed, with the exception of his eldest sister who was unable to attend due to an important business transaction. Eric greeted his elder brother Diego politely, but was met with a dismissive nod, Eric only greeted his brother because their father is present. And Diego did not make Eric's life difficult because their father is present.

His mother and father greeted him with warm wishes of a happy birthday, and they all sat down to enjoy the lavish dinner together. As the meal came to an end, they exchanged pleasantries before going their separate ways for the night.

As Eric made his way back to his room, he couldn't shake off the nagging thought that maybe the voice he heard five years ago was not true and that the system would not activate today. Despite these doubts, he still held onto the belief that the system would activate as he was already ten years old today.

But as soon as he entered his room, he was hit with a sudden and intense headache that felt as though a thousand knives were being driven into his skull. He winced in pain, gripping his head tightly as the pain continued to ravage his mind, leaving him in a daze and unable to move. The pain was so intense that he was unable to think of anything else but the discomfort that was consuming him. After a while, Eric fell unconscious on the floor.

No one discovered Eric's condition, as the maids were not present in the villa during the night. They all lived in separate buildings for security reasons, to prevent assassination attempts. The only martial expert present inside the villa every evening was their father. Anyone found wandering around the villa during the night would face dire consequences, as it would be assumed that they were attempting to harm the monarch, and would be dealt with accordingly.

As the sun began to rise in the east, the room was slowly bathed in light. Eric could be seen lying unconscious on the floor. The light gradually grew brighter, illuminating his motionless body. As he slowly regained consciousness, the intense pain he had experienced the previous night left him feeling weak and drained. He struggled to open his eyes, his body feeling heavy as he slowly awoke.

After some time as Eric began to regain some strength. Suddenly without warning a voice can be heard in his head.

"...."

"Congratulation to the host for successfully binding the Attribute Development System"

"...."

"Attribute Development System Information is now being transferred to the host"

"..."

Eric was taken aback and somewhat excitement feel his mind as he heard the voice, but before he could fully process the feeling of joy, his mind was inundated with a vast amount of information. Though the pain from the previous night had subsided, it had still left him feeling weak. The influx of new information from the system added to the discomfort he was already feeling.

The pain was brief and only lasted a minute, the pain only makes Eric somewhat uncomfortable.

Eric somehow finds the strength to drag his body to the bed and lay down as he processes the information that he already learned from the system.

Soon, Eric learns about the "Attribute Development System" which is a powerful tool that Eric will have access to from now on. The system is designed to help him improve his attributes and his own skill. The system provided three main functions to Eric such as: "inspect", "learn" and "daily choices"

The inspect function allows Eric to view the attributes of individuals. The learn function enables Eric to learn new skills instantly. And the daily choices which give Eric the opportunity to allocate points towards either improving his attributes or his skills.

Feeling ecstatic, Eric couldn't contain his excitement as the moment for him to soar had finally arrived. He couldn't stop smiling as he eagerly looked forward to making the most of his newfound abilities.

Eric soon began to explore the system, starting with the "inspect" function, which he used to examine himself. As he did so he was surprised that suddenly a holographic game-like panel appear in front of him, as he read through the panel:

Eric wasn't surprised as he read through the list of attributes on the holographic panel, he had already expected that his attributes would be relatively low.

He carefully studied the various attributes displayed on the panel such as strength, intelligence, dexterity, and combat awareness, and made note of which ones he would need to focus on in order to improve.

As Eric continued to explore the functions of the system, he decided to skip the "learn" function for the time being, as he did not have any manuals available to use. Instead, he moved on to examine the "daily choice" function. Upon thinking about the "daily choice" function, a new holographic panel appeared in front of him. This panel presented him with options for allocating points toward improving his attributes or skills.

Eric decided to choose option 1 as he still doesn't have any skills yet.

Eric was somewhat surprised to see that he had been given 100 attribute points as it seems a bonus for his first choice in the system as he randomly generated perfect points. He realized that this was a rare opportunity for him to make a significant impact on his attributes in a short amount of time.

Recognizing that his endurance was weak and he easily gets tired, Eric immediately allocated all of his attribute points to strength. He believed that by doing so, he would be able to improve his physical strength and prevent himself from easily getting exhausted.

After the points is added, Eric felt a rush of vitality as an unknown energy entered his body. It was as if every muscle and joint was being reinvigorated, erasing the fatigue and soreness he had felt before. The sensation was invigorating and gave him a renewed sense of strength and power.
