"That was quite an introduction, wasn't it?"
Miranda chuckled softly as the gathering around the stage began to disperse. The ceremony had ended, but its excitement lingered throughout the hall. Guests were already comparing impressions of the Heroes, while others watched the Apostles and the two sacred women, waiting for an opportunity to approach.
Amael nodded beside her.
His attention had fixed on Celeste.
She stood with Maria, the two of them drawing enough interest that the people nearby seemed reluctant to look anywhere else. From a distance, it was difficult to tell whether either had been given a moment to rest.
Miranda followed his gaze.
"Oh, that's right. You knew the Prophetess, didn't you?"
Amael glanced at her.
"I saw her a few times when I was a child. Her mother and mine were close."
Miranda looked toward Celeste again.
"Would you like to greet her?"
"No. It's fine."
He shook his head.
"I've already spoken to her a couple of times."
