After Grukel finally left, Freya remained standing where she was for some time before slowly turning her attention back toward the Holy Tree of Ymir.
Her golden eyes rested upon it in silence.
The tree was truly magnificent.
Its countless leaves shimmered beneath the daylight like pieces of living gold, moving gently whenever the wind passed through its vast branches. Golden veins ran visibly across its golden-brown trunk, spreading through the ancient-looking wood in beautiful patterns as though divine energy itself flowed beneath its surface.
It was difficult to look at the tree and not understand why so many people had already begun calling it sacred.
Of course, Freya had seen something even greater.
The Holy Tree within Eden's true garden was far more ancient and incomparably more magnificent, a sight so divine that even this beautiful tree could not truly compare to it.
Yet that did not lessen the beauty of the one standing before her.
This tree was young.
