Guardian old man (POV)
This is a disaster... The monster are rampaging inside the city.
I can see dead corpse of innocent civilians. I'm too late... Damn it.
I look around to save more people and my eyes land to the man who defeat me. He appear to be evacuating the people to the safe spot.
He didn't using any skill like how he did to defeat me back then. It seems he prioritize evacuating all the people of rozes than defeating the monster.
So that was I must do also...
I order my subordinate to focus on evacuate the people of rozes than fighting the monster who scatter in the street and if it's an avoidable, fight them.
As I gave my order, all of them move to heed my command.
I also look around and I feel a sudden dread raise from my skin and when I look up to the sky.
A griffon.
He was heading to that young man and the old lady he was guiding.
The young man push the old lady away from him and he preparing to atleast dodging the attack and by the look at it. It seems he can't avoid injuries.
So I leap out and use my body to block the attack of the griffon.
*Bam*
I manage to block the attack of the griffon while also trying to restrain it.
And it seems the young man didn't waste that opportunity and use his pebble mana and form a sharp needle of water and pierced it into the eyes of the griffon mercilessly and the monster cry in pain but a bullet of rock csme from the red elf shot through its body and a young girl with pigtail hair punch the body of that large griffon and the griffon who fly and slam into the house and instantly died with that one attack.
And the girl with innocent look smile while approaching the young man.
I suddenly have a sudden flash back. If that girl is the one I have been fighting.
I don't want to think about it... It made me shudder.
"Captain!" "Are you okay?!" "Thank you, adventurer!"
The subordinate of mine came running as they also see how big the griffon was.
But I just tell them to not to worry about me and just focus on rescuing civilian. All of my subordinate salute and continue to look for civilian that they can rescue.
I was about to also go and rescue some people I can encounter but...
"Hey, Takatsuki-kun." (Aya) the girl with unbelievable strength came to the young man and she appear to want to say something. I was about to go now when I heard a valuable information came from the young man.
"This is the one we saw at the circus, huh." (Makoto)
The circus who parade most of the monster have been released.
"It seems like the other monsters too." (Lucy)
"Takatsuki Makoto, you have seen this monster before?"
"It is probably the monster of the circus troupe that was at the center of the city but... It was too many of them for this cause havoc. Maybe there's something scheming behind" (Makoto) the young man said while deeply thinking about the situation.
But my focus is the fact the circus negligence that lead into this chaos.
"What?! Did they mess up?! What are the tamers doing?!"
"Let's go check it out."
I said to them that they all agreed.
If there's people that haven't managed to escape, the area around the circus troupe's tent would be the most dangerous.
And It appears we are also too late to save them.
Countless dead bodies lay around the street and good thing is most of the soldier that dispatch also subjugate the monster in this area but their condition is far from good.
And...
The one monster who paint this dreadful massacre is a Giant monster that was almost same height to the tower of rozes.
We can't let that monster rampage anymore...
"Let's go!" I took the lead and confront the monster along with me are my subordinate.
We fight the giant monster but it was futile it didn't even leave a scratch on his skin. Thankfully the giant monster movement was so slow that we can dodge it fine.
The adventurer also join the battle as the monster was a tempting reward for fame and money.
All of us are working together...
I feel my old blood pump in excitement. I see the mage are preparing to cast their attack to the giant so all the vanguard and near the giant back out as I ordered.
"The mage are attacking now! Backout!"
*Bang*
Countless magic projectile fly and hit to the giant monster. The giant monster cry in pain and you can feel the terror of it.
Even most of the people here was shaken but due to our advantage in this situation we are not afraid and our morale is high.
*Splash*
I suddenly feel dump by a water. "Oi!!" I unconsciously shout it loud but when I look who is the person doing it.
It was takatsuki makoto, he cast-- no he control the water in the fountain and form it to its own spell.
A water that look like a dragon. It was amazing even the adventurer and all the people who see it can't help but be amaze for such a detail. Even a high ranking mage can't do that.
He the spell to dump into giant monster then the water who was also dump into the floor was freeze and the giant slip and the monster now was in the floor a chance for attack!
"Now! Get him!" I shout it loud to my mouth all of the adventurer. Also war cry and blitz in to the giant monster.
We slash and thurst it with our weapon and the giant can only cry in pain. We did some damage to the giant but it was still remain alive.
Then suddenly we feel like a shadow was covering the giant face and when we look up the innocent girl was in the mid air and rapidly descending to the giant head with axe kick.
*Boom*
The giant head smash like a potato.
The adventurer and me and all the people who witness such a sight can only look for it for a moment before the people celebrate with our victory.
While I'm frozen in spot.
I'm really glad she is not the one I fight in that duel.
If she is the one...
I don't know if my defense can keep up.
