Since Bai Xi was empty-handed, the owner gave her two large wooden buckets—one for the steamed buns and pickled vegetables, and the other for the porridge.
As she was leaving, the owner's wife even smiled and gave her a set of bowls and chopsticks.
Carrying the two wooden buckets on a bare wooden pole over her shoulder, Bai Xi slipped into an empty alley and stored everything into her dimension.
With food in her dimension, she felt completely at ease.
With her stomach problem solved, Bai Xi began strolling around the city under the guise of looking for work. Since she needed to survive, she first had to get a clear lay of the land. That way, whether she needed to fight back or flee later, she wouldn't be caught off guard.
After walking around for a while, Bai Xi entered another inn.
There were still four or five tables of customers gathered together, chatting and drinking.
