Before Bai Xi turned around, Ye Xiao's expression quickly returned to normal. He didn't want her to see his darker side.
"Captain, are they plotting something?" The man had made her very uncomfortable, despite his polite facade.
Bai Xi didn't have much experience in the game, but she knew that keeping her wits about her and remaining vigilant at all times was the only way to survive.
"Whatever they're plotting, if they dare to come at us, we'll just kill them." Ye Xiao lowered his head and continued chopping vegetables. He didn't abide by so many moral taboos in the game.
Bai Xi nodded in agreement and walked back to the stove. A minor interlude wasn't going to ruin her anticipation of a good meal.
Night fell.
The dazzling galaxy twinkled in the night sky, radiating its brilliance as if to tell those from afar, "I exist."
