"Ah? Literal meaning?"
Ni Na'er was still utterly confused.
"Idiot!" Sa Li glared at Ni Na'er with disappointment and annoyance, "Mr. Jiang was just joking with you!"
"Joking? Why?" Ni Na'er said, dumbfounded.
Pfft!
"Haha!"
Everyone burst out laughing, even Mi Ya couldn't help but join in.
Na Miya chuckled twice and seeing Ni Na'er still looking perplexed, she sighed quietly to herself. Her young master was good at everything - smart, strong in thinking, sharp in grasping business opportunities, but his only flaw was becoming foolish whenever it involved Miss Sa Li. Sometimes he could even be childishly naïve!
"Young Master," Na Miya whispered, "Mr. Jiang was trying to test whether you truly like Miss Sa Li."
"Testing me..." Ni Na'er realized belatedly, hesitated for a moment, and then a light bulb went off in his head, suddenly exclaiming, "Testing? Does that mean..."
Turning his head and staring deeply into Sa Li's eyes, hope flickered in Ni Na'er's eyes.
