Out of the blue, an alien voice arrived to startle everyone. Without exception, the leaders of the Fox Guild wielded their weapons in a blur of motion. They jumped into their deadliest offensive stances, spirits flaring with incandescent power, ready to unleash their strongest techniques at the slightest provocation.
In front of them, a group of a few hundred masters approached from the direction of the central portals. They were led by a graceful-looking young girl who didn't appear much older than the guild's faction leaders.
She walked with a serene, unshakable confidence, moving as if she ruled the entire world beneath her feet. Despite her regal air, not a single person standing in the Scorching Lands recognised her or the fierce, battle-hardened masters walking in a protective phalanx around her.
