Ace casually tore open the void and entered chaotic space. The moment he did so, Heaven was naturally able to sense his presence and, by extension, his progress.
Without a moment's delay, the natural laws descended, signifying his progress in the Rules of Space and Time.
The moment he exited his personal dimension and entered chaotic space, Heaven wasn't the only one able to finally sense his presence. His enemies could, as well. By now, each of them understood how heaven-defying his talent was; as such, they expected him to have made a breakthrough and, by extension, bring down the natural laws. Even so, they couldn't help but stare wide-eyed as they sensed the amount of Willpower being infused into Ace's body.
Fifty thousand years was no trivial amount of time, not for Ace. It was, after all, longer than he had been alive previously. Between that and the amount of faith he had and was still accumulating, which also boosted his perception, the amount of progress he was able to make shocked even him.
It had to be remembered that whether it was the Rules of Space or Time, both were made up of three complete Laws, each one several times more complicated than the last. Previously, it took Ace the better part of 20,000 years to comprehend one Law of each, but this time, not only had he been able to comprehend the second Law of time – The Temporal Law of Time Stop – he had also actually comprehended all three Laws of Space, making him a true Paragon of Space.
The first Spatial Law was Spatial Warping, which allowed him to bend the fabric of space to his will. The second, though, was the Spatial Law of Transference – it was a Law that allowed him to transport himself or others through Space, meaning that as long as he was able to sense it, he was able to teleport there freely.
Still, although both the first and second Laws of Space improved his combat abilities, they didn't directly increase his offensive power. It was why he was so happy about the third Law of Space – Spatial Destruction. With it, the power of Ace's attacks had multiplied several times over.
Still, his improvements didn't stop there. He had already learnt the importance of transforming one's comprehension into combat effectiveness; as such, the moment he became a paragon in the Rules of Space, instead of choosing to dive straight into completing his comprehension of the Laws of Time – a feat that he knew was impossible with the time he had left – he instead chose to focus on turning his understanding of both Rules into Concepts for his Glaivesmanship.
Thankfully, with the foundation he had created for himself in both, he had been successful. What he hadn't expected, though, was that each concept of Space or Time comprehended would actually give one three units of will.
However, the more he thought about it, the more it made sense. The heavens were fair, after all. Each Concept of True Yang had given him two units of Will, and although more complicated and powerful than the other laws and Edicts, they couldn't compare to the profundities in that of Space and Time.
Between the ten units of Will he was given for each individual Law of Space and Time, as well as the nine he was given for comprehending a single Concept of Time and two of Space, Ace was awarded another 39 units of Will, boosting his new total to 149.
But that wasn't the only place in which Ace had improved. It had to be remembered that since he merged his Golden Sun Spark with his personal dimension, his Divine Power was innately linked to its maturity. After absorbing the energy in Phueus' Overgod Spark, the maturity of his Divine Plane improved significantly, which improved the power of his Divine Power twice over.
Although naturally, his was still weaker than the Divine Power of a complete Overgod, the difference had been cut in half, and that was before he received the additional boost of his new and improved Divine Ability.
The difference between the him that fought Phueus and the him of today was like that of Heaven and Earth – the two couldn't even be mentioned in the same breath.
With his current ability, he could've easily teleported not only himself but his entire group to the place where his opponents were waiting, but he instead chose to take a stroll through Chaotic Space as though he had all the time in the world. Even so, his pace was anything but slow – with each step, he displayed an unbelievable control of space, allowing him to cross incredible distances with each step.
The expression on his face remained light and easy, but to the Overgods of Earth and Lightning, he was more like the Grim Reaper. Each step seemed to resonate with the beating of their hearts, which only added to their fear.
It was only when Ace and his group finally arrived at the scene that his two opponents were finally able to suppress their turbulent emotions, albeit only barely.
Understanding that they were on the verge of losing themselves before the battle even began, the two Overgods decided to take action directly. Many were surprised to find that they could not only fuse their Overgod Divine Power together but seemingly their actual bodies, thereby increasing their overall power twice over. Still, Ace remained unmoved.
His opponent's attack was far stronger than anything Phueus was capable of. Even so, it seemed to come to a complete halt in front of Ace. The fist of the fused Overgod in front of him seemed to be mere millimetres from Ace's nose; no matter how hard they tried, it couldn't seem to close that last, infinitely small gap that separated them.
It was unknown when, but at some point in time, before the duo could land their attack, Ace had activated his Divine Ability, summoning his soul self behind him. It had manifested so fast that not even the Overgods present had been able to sense it; all they had sensed was the faint fluctuations in time that surrounded it.
With that, they were faintly able to guess at how he had done it. Still, it did nothing to take away from how shocking it was.
By all intents and purposes, even with the Temporal Deceleration Ace had displayed in his fight against Phueus, he shouldn't have been able to slow time enough to activate his Divine Ability, not before his opponent's attack landed anyway. But because he could now completely freeze time, it had given him more than enough time to not only activate his Divine Ability but also constrict the space around them and increase the amount of space that separated them.
Whilst it looked like there was no more than a millimetre separating them, the truth was that there were thousands of meters.
Even after the phantom of Ace's soul-self manifested behind him – a phantom so large it could even dwarf planets – no one had eyes for it; the only thing anyone and everyone was looking at was the man in front of it, a man who was more like a grain of sand in front of it.
Ace's eyes were the picture of serenity and tranquillity as he met the gaze of the now terrified fused Overgod before him. The fear they had tried so hard to suppress had returned several times over, to the point where they could no longer even think straight. Not only had they given up any thoughts of fighting, but even if Ace were to get rid of the binds of space constricting their movements, they wouldn't even be able to bring themselves to run away.
Others may not be able to sense it, but as the sole focus of Ace's attention, they could feel that behind those tranquil and almost gentle-looking eyes was a smouldering rage, one that had their every fibre of their being trembling in fear.
Ace didn't say a word as he stared into their soul; he merely lifted his hand and pointed his index finger forward. As his finger inched forward, the very fabric of space constricting the Overgods before him began to tremble uncontrollably.
What was strange, though, was that after his finger reached its destination, the trembling space settled instantly. As for the fused Overgods, they were seemingly unaffected.
Still, Ace no longer paid them any mind. He simply turned to the Overgods of the Four Edicts and told them that in ten thousand years, they would be next.
Then, as if a reaction to his words, the space enveloping the fused Overgods before him suddenly collapsed in on itself, completely destroying their body.
Ace could sense their two Overgod Sparks seemingly trying to escape through their respective wells of faith. Still, even then, his eyes didn't move from his final four opponents. He merely spread his Godrealm, and then, utilising the power of his personal dimension, he cut off their connection to heaven and caused them to materialise in the void in front of him.
Having said and done everything that he set out to do, Ace casually took the pair of Overgod Sparks before teleporting his group back to his personal dimension, leaving his soon-to-be final opponents absently staring off into space.
