Yinling City was as bustling as ever. Li Huowang, wearing a bamboo hat and leading a horse-drawn carriage, walked among the crowd, utterly inconspicuous.
The lively crowds all around made Mantou quite fearful. With its tail clamped down, it hid beneath the carriage, following along slowly.
Upon arriving at an inn, Li Huowang took out the prepared Pieces of Silver from the carriage to pay for the room. Everything had been prepared on the carriage—not only Silver and changes of clothes, but even several types of dry rations.

The carriage curtain was lifted, and the tightly bound Black Taisui appeared before him. Li Huowang stuffed the jerky in his hand into the gaps of its mucus-covered body. He then took out a knife, cut off a large piece, and started chewing it. The flesh of the Black Taisui was foul and disgusting, but he had long since grown used to it.
Even after Li Huowang had eaten so much, the Black Taisui didn't seem to have diminished much.
