Just as the beautiful woman's head was about to hit the blanket, Li Huowang reached out and helped her up.
"Madam, you are too polite. As fellow disciples in distress, it is only right that we help each other. I cannot accept such a grand gesture," he said.
The grateful woman, after being repeatedly stopped by Li Huowang, finally relented and sat down beside him.
With lingering fear, she said to Li Huowang, "After Bao'er went missing again, we nearly turned all of Qingqiu upside down but still couldn't find him. I had lost all hope and truly thought I would never see him again. By the Bodhisattva's grace, Bao'er has finally returned safe and sound."
With that, she took a string of Buddha Beads from her sleeve and began to chant, bowing toward the north.
Seeing this, Li Huowang was taken aback. "May I ask which Bodhisattva you are praying to?"
