Complete and utter darkness. To many children, the fear of the dark in a very common thing to be afraid of but I had thought I had long moved that point. Well, I was wrong.
The crushing weight of darkness, that you can almost touch and feel with your hands is terrifying. You can't see a step ahead of your and without any sight, you lose your balance, tripping over things that would normally be small and inconsequential, but nonetheless are insurmountable walls in your current state.
I had not experienced many things in life, but with just this examination many new feelings were introduced to me, most of them unpleasant. The beast just behind me leaped at me, going in for the kill, I could feel the hot breath of air on my neck, like an executioner's blade hovering above me.
Tremors overtook my body , leaving me as defenseless as a newborn baby. I couldn't even fight back if I had the will to do so, as my body was completely drained of energy.
