"Maybe we miscalculated. That thing didn't join us—it turned into this little girl instead?" Anna and the others hesitated, staring at the young girl before them.
Anna had already sliced open the girl's arm with her dagger. Red blood flowed out.
"Are you sure the blood is supposed to be a different color?" Charles asked doubtfully.
Anna shot him an impatient glare. "Back then, you pumped me full of bullet holes. What color was the liquid that came out? Are you really asking me that?"
Charles struggled to recall the scene from those years ago, but he found he couldn't remember many details. It had been too long.
"Lord Priest, if all else fails, let's kill her first, just to be safe," a nearby Futan believer said, pulling out a dagger.
Charles raised his prosthetic arm and blocked him. "There's no need for that. Since her blood is red, she can't be a transformed Divva."
The Futan believer holding the dagger said nothing, instead turning his gaze to Anna, awaiting her command.
