Suddenly, Charles heard a voice—his own—in his ear. It sounded extremely grave.
"Everyone, come to my plane. A very serious situation has developed here."
Hearing the summons from his counterpart in another plane, Charles gently nudged Shanshan aside. "Stay here for now. I need to leave for a bit—someone's looking for me. For so many years, it's always been bad news. I hope this is good news for a change."
