Hearing James's words, Charles's face showed no expression. He walked over to the collapsed wall, silently pushed it aside, and carefully picked up the jars containing various organs one by one.
Seeing his mood, the smiles faded from the crew's faces. It was clear their Captain was not on the same page as they were.
Bandage took Lily off his shoulder, set her on the ground, and then gently pushed her back with a finger.
"Mr. Charles, do you still miss that monster lady?" With her ears drooping, Lily flew in front of Charles and asked in a low voice.
Charles shook his head. Looking at the cracked jar in his hands, he turned to the ship doctor and said, "Linda, bring me some more jars and preserving liquid. This one is cracked."
Linda nodded. After whispering a few words in her husband Audric's ear, she was about to turn and leave, but as her body passed through the half-fallen wall, she turned her head to look at Charles.
