"So, becoming a god means we can go to the Earth's surface? If that were true, the Earth's surface would have been in chaos long ago, back when I was still in school. There must be something blocking the way between the Abyss-Sea and the Earth's surface."
Charles reached out and gently pulled his wife into his arms.
Anna's brow furrowed. "Ugh, I swear, you're so indecisive. Do you want to go back or not? What's the use of hesitating?"
"If there's something you want to do," she continued, "just set a goal and throw everything you have into achieving it."
Hearing Anna's words, the beautiful scenes from his dream flashed through Charles's mind. He murmured softly, "After all these years, I thought I'd stopped wanting to. But I can fool others; I can't fool myself."
"Ever since my memories returned, I've found myself starting to miss them again, even as their faces begin to blur and I've forgotten their names." As he spoke, an expression of intense longing crossed his face.
