Charles pondered briefly before summoning the Second Officer and the first mate to the Captain's Room to discuss countermeasures.
Although the situation didn't seem dangerous, they were in a bit of a dilemma. It was hard to guarantee if the white orb would appear again in the same spot if they moved away now. What if it engulfed the entire Unicorne next time?
The outcome of the discussion came quickly: the exploration of the white orb must continue, this time with humans taking the lead. Since the mice were unharmed, it was assumed that humans should be safe as well.
The volunteers were chosen swiftly. There were only a few crew members on the Unicorne capable of flying, and the final choice fell to the two Vampires.
"Pay close attention and try to see if there are any details on it," Charles instructed, facing Audric.
The other nodded, "Don't worry, Captain, I assure you we'll figure out what that thing is."
