Charles's sudden stand disrupted the sacrificial ritual at its climactic moment, yet again forcing it to a halt.
Everyone cast dissatisfied glances toward Charles.
"Captain, this is the third time. Can you please stop interrupting, or maybe just wait for the next occasion?" Linda frowned at the captain who had risen to his feet.
"Next occasion? What next occasion? To die? Everyone, get up! Quick!!" Charles shouted as he reached out and pulled up the crew seated within the Array.
"Have you all gone mad!? Why come up to such a high place! First mate, immediately make the Unicorne descend at full speed, as fast as it can go!"
"This is an unknown expanse of deep space, we're in danger every second we stay here!!"
The first mate swiftly turned and prepared to run towards the cockpit, but after taking two steps, his advancing third step slowly retracted.
He turned, joining the rest of the crew in their puzzled gaze towards Charles.
