....

The combination attack sent Yoroi straight into the ground, creating a small crater and causing him to cough up blood. Satsuki was sent skidding the other direction from the momentum of the attack. She was exhausted, but fine other than that. She was glad that Obito had made it a point to teach her the goken fighting style when he thought that it would suit her perfectly. Her taijutsu was only average before, but after the intense taijutsu training her sensei made her do, it was now one of her strongest areas. She looked over to her opponent and noticed that Yoroi was out of commission. That last attack rendered him unconscious, but even so Satsuki had a one last job to do.

These genin were traitors of Konoha, now she didn't really care about that but if she were to let this man go then he would try to come after their team again. They would try to come after her Nii-san because of the information he knows. She wouldn't let that happen, she would never let anyone hurt her Naruto-nii ever!

Satsuki walked over to where the downed man and pulled out a lone kunai from her holster and looked at the man below her. There was nothing in her eyes. No hesitation, no empathy, and not even a hint of mercy. Everyone on the team had killed before. Naruto had killed dozens on their first mission to Haru no Kuni, because of that incident they were sent on a bandit camp extermination mission to get the rest of the teams first kills out of the way. Usually genin teams wouldn't be sent on one of those or have to kill their first person until a few months into their careers as shinobi. They didn't have that kind of time. They didn't have that luxury, but they knew the rest of the rookie 13 did.

She took the kunai and buried it to the hilt in between Yoroi's eyes. He didn't even make a sound as he left this world. Satsuki didn't enjoy killing the way that Naruto did, but she didn't hate it either. There was some kind of sense of satisfaction after taking someone's life, but she couldn't place a finger on what it was. Did it prove that you were the stronger of the two? Did it prove that all of your training was worth it? She didn't know and didn't care, she just knew that her Nii-san would be disappointed in her if she refused to kill. She wouldn't let that happen.

She withdrew the kunai and cleaned the blood off of it as she breathed a sigh of relief that it was all over. The young Uchiha looked behind her and saw a towering wall of flames in the distance. She figured that Naruto would have everything handled so she slowly took off back towards the clearing.

With Hana

Hana was standing face to face, or face to mask, with the man known as Tsurugi Misumi. They were standing on top of the river Team 11 had been following due to the rest of the area having been destroyed from Hana's and her Ninken's ferocious taijutsu techniques. Toppled over trees, large craters, and destroyed logs lay all across the forest floor.

Hana was panting slightly. This man was very agile and moved in snake-like patterns making him hard to hit. She knew that if only one of her attacks made contact then Misumi would be done for. He was agile, but incredibly weak. She had no doubt that he was the weakest of the three genin that had ambushed them.

Hana knew that Satsuki was most likely already done with her opponent and that Naruto was dealing with his, which is what made her so frustrated at the moment. This man hadn't even showed her any real jutsu, he either avoided her attacks or would use the Kawarimi to escape at the last moment. If this pattern kept up then their fight could go on forever.

However, this time was different. Just as she landed on the surface of the water, the masked man charged at her. He brought his leg out hoping to connect with her right side. Hana saw what he was planning and brought her knee up to block the strike. He tried to sweep out from under her with a sweep kick, but just as he crouched down Hana jumped over his leg and drove hers into his side, sending him flying across the river.

Hana and her three ninken rushed at Misumi once more using their Gatsuga and this time one of the tunneling strikes nicked the older genin's side, causing him to stagger back a bit and fall down face first into the water. All four of the tunnel like attacks stopped as Hana moved forward to finish him off.

Hana pulled out a kunai, but she had failed to realize that Misumi was still conscious. Misumi's body suddenly jerked and rushed up to wrap around hana's body in a snake-like manner. She tried to break free, but his hold on her rendered the Inuzuka immobile. He wrapped his body around her even more tightly causing her to drop her kunai.

"...*cough*...what the hell are you?" Hana asked, her voice barely leaving her throat.

Misumi chuckled arrogantly, "I'm a spy. In order to be more efficient at gathering information I received a soft physique modification. It's a special surgical procedure that allows me to dislocate my joints and control it with chakra. Therefore I can twist and stretch any part of my body at will. In fact I could break your neck right now if I wanted to."

"...Good to know...but you forgot...that I'm not...the only one you're fighting."

Misumi's eyes widened after he realized he forgot about her three ninken. He looked behind him and just as he did, one of the ninken emerged from the water under them and bit clean through Misumi's neck, causing blood to spurt out like a fountain. His hold on Hana gradually loosened until he finally bled out and his body went limp.

Hana quickly searched his body and found what she was looking for. She reached into his weapons pouch and pulled out a lone earth scroll. The very scroll that they needed to pass the exam. The young Inuzuka placed the scroll in her own weapons pouch. She took one last look at her opponent's corpse and headed back towards the clearing.
