When they finally arrived at their location they noticed that Doto had already used the Hexagonal Crystal and it was plugged into an altar of sorts.
"What that's it! The Kazahana treasure is nothing but a heat generator!" Doto was furious. He spent over ten years searching for Koyuki and this was all he got in return.
He then noticed that Koyuki and Naruto had appeared behind him on the frozen lake.
"If I can't have my treasure than I'm at least going to take you two with me! I didn't spend all these years just for you to come back and ruin all of my plans. I should have killed you that night all those years ago!"
Naruto quickly turned to his familiar, "Marco take Koyuki above this area, I don't want her getting harmed from this fight. I'm going to finish all of this here and now."
The phoenix nodded at his partner and flew high above the battle ground so that they couldn't be hit by any of the stray techniques, but close enough so that they could still see.
Doto realized he wasn't going to be able to kill the one he wanted to immediately, so he charged at Naruto trying to take him out as quickly as possible. He went to punch Naruto through the ice, but the scarred boy quickly jumped back causing a large crater to appear in the ice before him.
He's damn strong. If I get hit with one of his punches it'll definitely slow me down and I can't afford heat generators are melting the ice pretty fast. A drawn out battle wouldn't be good in this situation.' Naruto thought.
Doto charged at Naruto one more intent on finishing him off with taijutsu alone. Naruto coated his fists with his Busoshoku Haki turning them pitch black and greatly increasing the force of Naruto's taijutsu. He also charged at Doto and they engaged in a match of taijutsu. Naruto was using his interceptor fist style and avoiding every blow that Doto sent his way, often countering right after. The man was predictable. He may have been physically strong but it didn't matter because Naruto could read his every movement.
Doto had no real style, he just tried to punch as hard as he could. He was a brawler. Doto sent another punch towards Naruto's head which he easily side stepped and followed up with a chop to his ribs, effectively breaking a few of them. Doto never stood a chance in taijutsu but he never figured that out. He sent a wild barrage of punches toward the ravenette which he easily dodged with the use of the sharingan and Kenbunshoku Haki. After the final thrust of Doto's assault, Naruto grabbed the man's hand with his right arm and drove his Haki enhanced elbow into the center of Doto's chakra armor effectively shattering it.
Just now realizing that he didn't match up in close combat, Doto jumped back a few feet trying to gain some distance.
He started forming hand seals and after the final one needed, he thrust his arms forward and sent a black ether-like dragon towards Naruto, Hyoton: Kokuryu Bofusetsu (Ice Release: Black Dragon Blizzard)!"
The dragon was incredibly powerful and looked as if it was made out of the energy or the cold produced from the surrounding ice. Whichever it was, Naruto knew that if this jutsu hit he would be in for a lot of pain. This jutsu wouldn't stop until it was destroyed, Hyoton techniques have a particularly useful ability of tracking heat signatures. He needed to neutralize it, and fast.
Naruto ignited the left side of his face and the majority of his right arm. He lifted his arm and released it downward, "Kyokaen (Mirror Flame)!" A large wall of flames was released and met the black ice dragon in the middle of the frozen lake, effectively canceling each other out and producing a lot of steam.
Naruto chose to use this steam for his advantage and started preparations from one of his favorite combinations. He moved his hands in front of his body with both of them open and they started to glow green and produce hundreds of small green balls of light. The technique completely surrounded doto without him even noticing. "Hotarubi (Firefly Lights)!"
"Hidaruma (Fiery Doll)!"Not even a few seconds after he said that name did his hands stop glowing green and instead started glowing orange. Every single one of the lights converged onto Doto's body and exploded on impact.
Fire covered the battle grounds. The ice was melting fast. Faster than Naruto had anticipated. He needed to wrap this up fast. That last combination of his was powerful, but not powerful enough to take down someone as tenacious at Doto.
He noticed that the man was slowly starting to get up. Most of his flesh was completely burned off and the left half of his body was still burning as the crimson-orange flames slowly ate away at his body. A normal person would have been dead by now, but Doto was a cockroach and cockroaches are notoriously hard to get rid of. Would this guy ever die?
"Hehehe this isn't enough to stop me! My skin may be gone but I'm very much alive. However...I'll finish you off right here!" Doto made a few more hand seals, preparing for what looked like his strongest jutsu, "Now die!...Hyoton: Soryu Bofusetsu (Ice Release: Twin Dragon Blizzard)!" Doto released what looked like a more advanced version of his previous technique. He released two black dragons from the ice around him right at Naruto. They were coming at him. Fast. The two black ice dragons then merged to form a massive black ice tornado that began to rip apart the frozen lake they were standing on.
The tornado was rushing at Naruto. It was coming onto him to quickly and he only had a few jutsus that could counter this. Dodging wasn't an option here, the technique was to widespread and was tearing apart the entire battle ground.
Naruto sighed, knowing how powerful this technique was. He began molding chakra in his lungs and spoke the last words that Doto would ever hear, Katon: Gōka Mekkyaku (Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation)!" A massive tsunami of fire was expelled from Naruto's lungs and easily ripped through and melted the black ice tornado that was heading his way. The technique continued toward Doto and consumed him, burning him alive, not even ashes remained of him. The bloodcurdling screams could be heard for miles in all directions, but they died out just moments after he was swallowed by the flames.
The technique soon subsided and all of the surrounding flames rushed to where Naruto was standing. They flames slowly started to merge with him as he glowed a flashing yellow until the flames completely became a part of him.
Marco flew down and landed right next to Naruto letting Koyuki off. He nodded to Naruto and then dispelled back to Mt. Silver.
Slowly the large ice mirrors started to glow a rainbow color and their light spread throughout Yuki no Kuni, melting all of the ice and turning the frozen wasteland into a paradise.
Tears began falling from Koyuki's eyes as she remembered her fathers words. She quickly embraced Naruto in a tight hug, surprising him greatly as he never expected the heartless resentful princess to actually break down in front of him and actually hug him. She looked into his eyes and gave him a small kiss on the cheek, making him smile down at her.
It was spring in Yuki no Kuni once again.
