It's been time to plant corn recently, and soon after, the previously grown sorghum seedlings need to be replanted.
So after breakfast, except for the boys going to school, all the adults went to the fields, leaving Xiaoxue to feed the pigs, chickens, and the peacock, Xiaomi, at home.
She also needs to cook lunch, and sometimes when it's too busy, she'll help with the laundry.

Upon hearing her mother mention cooking, Xiaomi paused, coincidentally spotting Uncle Qixi and her father arriving with the ox cart. Her eyes rolled, and she responded.
"Okay, I'll head back first then."
"Alright, be careful on the way."
"Don't worry, Mom. It's so close."
With that, Xiaomi pranced home, even meeting her father and Uncle Qixi on the way, and she greeted them with a cheerful smile.
