Chapter 79 - On the edge of control

Ana didn't know when the air got so thick or when her skin started buzzing like every nerve had its own pulse. But the second Roby's mouth touched hers, everything else dissolved.

Her back hit the cool surface of the table, papers scattering around her thighs. His hands gripped her waist firm, unyielding dragging her forward until her knees hugged the edge. Her breath hitched as she felt him press between her legs, the bulge in his jeans unmistakable and maddening.

"You feel that?" Roby growled, voice low, dark, and close to her mouth.

Ana nodded, eyes fluttering shut. Her voice barely made it out. "Yes…"

"Good." His hands slid under her top, rough palms skimming her heated skin. "Because that's what you do to me, Ana. Every time you look at me like that. Every time you bite your lip like you don't know you're driving me insane."

She swallowed hard, lips parted, heart racing against her ribs. He leaned in, breath teasing her ear.

"Now you're gonna sit still and let me take what's mine."

Her breath caught as his hand wrapped around the back of her neck, pulling her mouth to his again rougher this time, deeper. His kiss was fire and command, tongue pushing past her lips like he needed to taste every inch of her mouth. She whimpered, her fingers tangled in his shirt, dragging him closer, hungry for him.

But he pulled back.

"Uh-uh," he said, shaking his head with a dark smile. "You don't get to be in charge tonight."

His hands moved fast, sliding down her body and gripping her thighs, spreading them open against the table edge. He stepped between them, pressing his hips in until she gasped.

"Roby…"

"That's right. Say my name." His hand slid up her inner thigh, fingers slow, teasing, deadly.

"I can't think," she whispered, arching into him.

"That's the point." His eyes locked on hers stormy, wild, and hot enough to melt bone. "I don't want you thinking. I want you feeling. I want you breathless. I want you begging."

He dragged her shirt up and over her head, tossing it aside like it didn't matter. Her bra followed unhooked with a single flick of his fingers.

Roby paused to look at her chest rising fast, lips kiss-swollen, flushed skin begging for touch. His thumb brushed across her lower lip.

"Beautiful," he murmured. "Completely. Fucking. Mine."

His mouth found her collarbone, trailing down, biting just enough to make her squirm. His hands cupped her breasts, thumbs teasing her into soft, shaky moans. Ana bit her lip, hips grinding forward, desperate for friction.

"You don't get to hide that," he whispered. "I want to hear every sound I pull from you. Got it?"

She nodded, eyes glassy. "Yes… Roby…"

He growled loving how her voice sounded wrapped around his name and pulled her shorts slowly, like unwrapping a present he'd been dying to claim. He pulled them down, eyes never leaving hers, with them watching her shiver with each inch of skin revealed.

She was bare now. Bare and laid open. And Roby looked at her like a man seconds from losing control.

"You're dripping," he murmured, voice thick. "You want this that bad?"

"Roby, please…"

"Oh no, baby." He leaned down, lips against her ear. "You don't get to beg until I say so."

He lifted her legs, hooked them over his shoulders, and pressed forward, letting her feel the full pressure of him through his jeans. She whimpered, hands gripping the edge of the table like it was the only thing holding her to earth.

"You've been teasing me all week. Walking around hinking that I won't be able to claim you here. Looking at me like you wanted me to snap."

His hand slid between them, fingers ghosting over her heat, making her jolt.

"Well, guess what…" he whispered. "You've got me. And now you don't get to breathe unless I let you."

She moaned, head tilting back, eyes fluttering shut as his fingers finally dipped between her folds — slow, slick, deliberate.

"Fuck…" she gasped.

"That's it. Say it again."

"F—fuck, Roby…"

His free hand wrapped around her throat, just enough to make her blink her eyes wide open.

"Look at me," he commanded.

Her gaze snapped to his and the heat there nearly broke her.

"I want you to remember this moment," he said, voice rough. "How I make you feel. How no one else ever gets to have you like this."

And then he kissed her again bruising, desperate, hungry.

As his hand worked her into moaning mess, Ana's legs shook against his shoulders, body trembling like a live wire.

She didn't know where he ended and she began only that she never wanted him to stop.

"I'll make you feel everytime better than before baby girl".

Sometime later, when her body had finally stopped quaking and the silence between them settled like steam on glass, Roby pressed his forehead against hers.

His voice was softer now, but still full of heat. "You're mine, Ana. Not just like this. Always."

She smiled against his lips, breathless and dazed. "Good. Because I was never going to be anyone else's."

He kissed her again slow, reverent.

And somewhere beneath the sweat, the table burn on her back, and the wreckage of their clothes scattered across the floor, Ana realized that

This wasn't just lust.

This was surrender.

And she didn't want to be saved.

Ana stirred as the first light spilled through the blinds, golden and quiet. Her body ached in all the places Roby had touched, claimed, worshipped. She felt the soreness like a secret only they shared. His arm was still wrapped around her waist, skin warm, breath slow against the back of her neck.

"You awake, baby?" he murmured, voice rough with sleep.

She nodded lazily, pressing herself back into his chest. He tightened his hold instantly, like letting her go wasn't an option.

"You okay?" he whispered, lips brushing her shoulder. "Was I too much?"

Ana turned slightly, meeting his eyes — those eyes that had looked so hungry the night before, now soft and full of concern. She smiled, fingers tracing a slow line down his arm.

"You were perfect," she whispered. "You always are."

He leaned in and kissed her forehead slow, grounding, like an unspoken promise. Then he pulled the blanket higher, tucked her in closer, and just held her like she was the only thing in the world that mattered.
