Chapter 10 - Preview

Andreas returned home. Before going to bed, he opened Instagram and created a new account.

He selected the photo of him holding the MOTM trophy, which he collected from the Granada social account.

"Hmm, what should I use as a caption?"

After a moment of thought, a cheeky smile crept across his face.

Beginning of greatness.

With a tap, he posted it.

After that, tiredness soon claimed him. He fell into the land of dreams.

He was leading Brazil towards the Peak, but in front of him was a certain player whose team got a penalty every crucial moment, stopping him.

.

.

The next morning,

Waking up, he surfed the internet for a few minutes.

A notification popped up. His monthly salary of 59k pounds (after tax) was in his bank account.

"Maybe I should start looking for those companies for investment."

.

His last night's post was liked by a thousand. In one day, he was followed by 5k. That number is a lot.

Many commented there. A comment caught his eye. It was from his mother.

"Waiting to see you in Seleção."

His lips curled into a smile.

His mother had always believed he'd wear Brazil's yellow jersey one day.

He typed only one word.

"Soon."

That was only a little episode in his morning.

He quickly glanced at the system. There he saw a +1 behind decision, vision, composure, determination, anticipation, and flair.

"Wow, all mental attributes increased."

.

Today's morning training was cancelled, but all the players still have to go.

Entering the training center, a voice stopped him

"YOO, ANDREAS."

He looked at the teenager and sighed.

"Can't you speak in a lower volume?"

Boga grinned

"NO."

"Why do you have too much energy in the morning, Boga?"

"Because I am excited to learn those tricks from you."

"I never said I am going to teach you."

"What? But you said during the last match?"

"I don't remember it."

With small bickering, both enter the dining hall, where they eat breakfast and lunch.

...

After much pestering, Andreas decided to teach him a trick or two.

Well, not that; he can perform the elastico in a match. After all, his technique is shit. Of course he didn't say it to his face.

.

In the training field, everyone was divided into groups and played rondo. It actually helps the player to train first touch, composure, and decision-making.

.

Boga darted around the middle of the rondo like a headless chicken, desperately trying to win the ball back as his teammates effortlessly passed around him.

"Damn it! This is unfair!"

Andreas couldn't help but chuckle.

"Well, you're just bad."

Boga pointed a finger at him.

"One-on-one after training."

A smirk spread across Andreas' face as he raised an eyebrow.

"Oh? You want to embarrass yourself twice in one day?"

The surrounding players burst into laughter, while Boga could only click his tongue in frustration.

.

Okay guys, a sharp whistle sounded to draw their attention.

Assistance coach,

"Okay, we're going to have a tactical lesson in a few minutes."

"Ugh." David Uche, Atzili, and Boga were visibly frustrated about this. After all, who wanted to listen to the nagging of the old man?

.

.

"Okay, gentlemen, before going to the next match, let us first review our Previous match."

"In the last match, Eibar controlled the midfield better than we did. They blocked the center and forced us to go wide. They held the numerical superiority in midfield.

That's why my coaching staff and I agree we should change our existing tactics."

Some visible concern could be seen on the players' faces.

"Before we play with 4-2-3-1 with two holding mids,

But from the next match we will play with 4-3-3."

David Uche sat uncomfortably hearing that.

Pacho continued,

"There will be one holding midfielder, one box-to-box midfielder who will also late arrive in the box, and one free-rolling attacking midfielder."

"And two inverted wingers who will also be tasked with covering their side full back."

Boga shifts uncomfortably as he is clearly not up to the defence support duty.

.

"And we will not play possession-based like the last few matches; we will play fluid attacking football. So from the evening training session we will be drilling this in our minds."

"According to the performance on the training ground, I will select the starting XI for the match against Real Betis."

Among the players, Andreas was worry-free. That could be seen in the evening training. As everyone made mistakes, he simply fulfilled all the training staff's requirements.

While Boga and a few others kept making silly mistakes, the whistle on the training ground went crazy
